1603 error with 2008 edition

Hi !!

ive got the 2008 edition eu ver. for windows but i always get that "1603 error" looked in forums but i didnt solve my problem.
hmmhmm if anyone could help me
i even tried installing from hard disk... same problem

Might want to try to be a bit more descriptive. Is it a PoL error? A windows error? Is that all it says?

sry. it is an installer error, POL is on the machine, the problem comes when i want to install FFXI ( at first of course, not any of the expansoins) it says :

Installshield DLL Custom Action

Failed to extraxt file 'Dll_.ini' from the binary table


this is the first window...the second says :

Feature Transfer error

Error -1603 Fatal error during installation

Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) os MSDN for more information.


i even read the topic u linked to me...that couldnt help me either.
