I bought the game from EB games online or whatever. I go to download it and it is just a blank window with a little green ball and a black square and a bar..? What is wrong with it?!

Re: Help?
I double click the .exe, a window comes up with a status bar, a little green dot, a black box, and a pause and exit button. There is nothing else. No text, nothing. I let it run for like 2 hours and it makes no progress it seems. I got the download from the EBGames thing after paying 20 bucks for it. Help?

Re: Help?
Well did you try contacting EBgames via the website to ask them about this problem? First read this:
Downloadable Games
Then if that doesn't help, go here:
https://gamestop.trymedia.com/login.php?aff=t_07po
Log in and surf around and see if they have a complaint/help/cancel button.

My question is this.....what happens when your hard drive crashes and you need to reinstall the game? You have to jump through hoops again to get it to d/l to your computer? And doesn't this d/l take an extremely LONG ASS time since the game is like what....8 gbs now? This just seems to me to be a very very bad thing for anyone but someone that has a good high speed connection. Can you imagine dial-up!!? WOOOOOOOOOOOOOWZA! Gamestop/EB needs to rethink this me thinks.Originally posted by FebaBut I mean I do not mind a good looking man so long as I do not have to view his penis.Originally posted by TaskmageGod I hate my periods. Re: Help?
If you're playing on XP, install the Playonline software first.
If playing on Vista, download the Vista Playonline client software from the playonline site first, do not install the Playonline software on the disc.
Install FFXI through POL after you've registered and installed the POL client. You can't just click FFXI and start playing.
