came here to say this. Generally you don't ask for advice after you plop down hundreds of dollars on something.

Anyway, it's pretty much impossible to give advice after the fact. Dell has good laptop coupons, I can only hope you took advantage of one.

If the PC was made anytime in the past couple of years it can play FFXI just fine. Honestly, this isn't the sort of question you needed to ask. And you didn't really ask. You just said "Hey, what do you think of my new laptop." We're all glad you have a new toy. Except those of us who aren't.

Thoris, that laptop will run FFXI perfectly fine. High settings shouldn't be an issue either. Enjoy your new laptop and have fun in game!
