Okay so yea im new and i just installed FFXI today but for some reason i cannot figure out how to change the setting

The resolution on the game looks horrible and i cannot figure out how to change it i need to change it to 1440x900
Also when i try to use the movement (wasd) it automatically opens the chat box which is very aggravating

sorry for the nubness but think anyone can help?

You can use WASD with the short keyboard settings (laptops and stuff).

Ah, I've never altered that before. Still, the default settings doesn't use WASD.

You're right. He needs Compact Keyboard seeting (Menu > Config > misc2). Refer to your manual if you have trouble opening the menu to make these changes.

As to the resolution, Start > PlayOnline > FFXI > FFXI Config:

Screen Size tab > Overlay Graphics to 1400 x 900; BG res to the max. Make any other graphics or config related changes here and click OK. Boot up POL and FFXI and you're all set.
