  • FFXI on notebook with geforce go 6100

    will this work?
    i just bought a cheap laptop and before re installing FFXI i want to make sure it works.
    in theory it should because its a geforce, but might not because its on board.

    any help would be good

    cheers

    You can try the Vana'diel Bench 3, to see how your computer is likely to perform.
    Bamboo shadows sweep the stars,
    yet not a mote of dust is stirred;
    Moonlight pierces the depths of the pond,
    leaving no trace in the water.

      The bench mark 3 works pretty good on my other laptop, which only had intel onboard 950 graphics.
      but that doesnt mean you can play the game does it?

        I occasionally used to run FFXI on a laptop with an ancient GeForce Go 200. The game really does not require too much graphics power with lower settings. I ran at 1400x1050 with everything but weather effects and advanced shadows on. You might be able to even max out the graphics with a GeForce Go 6100.

          just to let you know that the 6100 has only 64mb shared memory, but im running xp not vista.

          also as i stated before, with my old lappy with intel 950 graphics, will that run ffxi at all? the benchark 3 looks and runs averagly.

          thanks again
