The Final Fantasy XI server seems to die on me every night at around 8pm to about 10pm. It happens every night, in fact, it's been costing me, I was fighting a simple Hornet tonight and I die cause I didn't hit it and it kept hitting me over and over again. Is there maybe something with my computer's wireless connection or is it the server itself that is messing up around that time? I can give more information on the computer and stuff if it's my computer.

Re: Connection Drop-off?
Well, I did that tonight and I thought it was... because for a while it was working fine, then it happened again. It dropped me off the connection. I don't really get why it's doing it, I have a high speed cable modem hooked up to the connection.

Also, check your computer to see whats running in the background. At times, Norton Internet Security will kick me off when it tries to run liveupdate while I'm playing ffxi, and from what I hear, those "constantly updating" av programs like Kaspersky can really kill bandwidth. Since so many different software/hardware types have "auto-update" features, something could be set up to try and download updates and such at the specific times you mentioned. I found that by going through my startup config and deleting a lot of unnecessary programs I did much better with my d/c-ing.I'm a slow motion accident, lost in coffee rings and fingerprints...
