I am new to forum. Have some questions about the update that just happened recently.
May I ask the questions here? Or should i go to another forum? If so, please direct me to the proper forum to ask my questions.

This section is for asking questions of Square Enix. If you wish to ask a question of the general forum population, then Frequently Asked Questions or the General forum would both be better options.

When my bf tries doing the update that was set up for yesterday (the one before the POL viewer update) He gets a error POL-1162 during the Downloading process of FFXIMain.Dll I called POL for tech support and they said it was my connection.... Nope, Cause I am on the game and my updates went fine.
Before it happened, when choosing the "Play" option, it didn't say Play and the updates weren't finished, he clicked that button and it started to try and do the update... even though they weren't done with it.

Sooo yea .... I'm confused and trying to figure out where to go next. We're already power cycled yadda yadda yadda .... uninstalled reinstalled the game. All that good stuff and it still won't work.

Any Idea's what it might be?

sometimes the update servers are jammed and there was a recent...well small update. I would aso check for blocks in your router...I had a friend that could not zone into a particular area because his router was being funny!

I'm not familir with the 360 edition but that's troubleshooting in general...

That error is just a time-out during the update download I believe. Your connection may have been goofy at that moment, or you may have just had bad timing and been downloading during a large traffic spike of people downloading it. Try it again today it'll probably go through.

OK im getting really pissed about this issue >< POL dosent help at all saying they dont know what it is, well who the hell knows what it is? Its an error code that im sure someone on this damn internet would know what to do and fix it.. Ive had enough with xbox 360 crap and this worthless POL help that dosent even exist just trying to ring in more money when you call long distance left with an answer anyone can make up....Please help us once and for all what the hell do we do?

OK i have the solution for Error Code: POL-1162, It had to do with a corrupted file caused by my router...So what you do is dont use a router to install the update, use it directly from your (Main modem) that will fix this error code >< Im just so pissed some people fixed it then never told others what was the problem, so here it is injoy lol

Oh one more thing if it dosent work re-install the game with it directly from the main modem...
