FFXI Won't Install!! Help!

Hi everyone!

I am reinstalling my FFXI Game since I uninstalled it awhile back and decided to come bk to game.

Everything was going ok PoL installed fine and FFXI Disc 1 worked on and got to 26% then it froze so I closed the installer and then tried again but now the disc wont even launch.
I tried going into My Computer and it won't open when the disc is in the tray.

The light comes on to say disc is running but nothing happens....

Plz help!

Could be your hardware might be malfunctioning? Have you tried some other disc to see if its working properly?

I have had other games run fine like black n white etc.
Theme Hospital wouldnt install tho

Here's an idea, try to copy the disc contents into your computer somewhere. If the disc itself is the problem, you shouldnt be able to do that, however if all goes well you can assume its the cd drive, i think.

If you manage to copy the files... try running them from your HDD, i have little knowledge of these things but it's something i think i'd try.

after all that it installed perfectly fine....
I guess it was just havin a bad day.... disc 1 wasn't happy tho
