Here's the situation: I've gotten the PS2 System Update from the PlayStation store (and made the 10GB partition), I've installed FFXI (using the FFXI+Rise of Zilart with HDD for PS2 packaging), I've gotten all of the updates, I've purchased a Content ID, but...it won't start. I press play, then it gives me the "Don't Forget your friends" warning, I press play again, it verifies my FFXI version, authenticates my DNAS, and then it goes to a black screen. Then, I return to the PlayOnline Viewer and FFXI menu, as if I never pressed play in the first place. I don't know what the problem is, I've tried everything, but nothing has worked so far. I've contacting Tech Help (via email), but there hasn't been a response yet, and I contacted a GM, but he just referred me to Tech Help via the phone (which I haven't tried yet, but will if it comes to that).
I bought it from Amazon, NEW, and the registration codes worked. It isn't a defective package I received, because the PlayOnline Viewer and Tetra Master all work fine. I haven't purchased the other two expansion packs, is that the problem? Has PS2 version been suspended access to the game? Or is a vast amount of data still located on the supplied HDD that I didn't use? I just want to play the game...
PS3 Specs:
(60 GB Model)
160 GB HDD
Connected Wirelessly to a Linksys router
Router: Linksys Wireless-G with Speedbooster
Modem: SpeedStream
