glitch/bug when trying to exit menu.

Hiya. I'm reletively new to FFXI. My problem is this:
First of all i'm playing on a HP Pavilion notebook on Windows Vista.

When i sometime attempt to exit from my item inventory (using the exit key), the log window and any extra status i may have (i.e. signet) well be alternatingly selected. Like it'll go from the log window to my status to the log window and so on. This affects my controls because using my arrow keys become choppy. I've done a search and haven't found any useful info yet.

That actually is what plus + key on the numpad does. Not sure why esc is causing you that. Have you changed any key settings?

What's the exit key? After careful examination of my keyboard, I have failed to find said key. Was Jei right when he said Escape?
