Wierd question about payment

Ok, I'm about to start playing, but have a question to ask (the official FFXI site doesnt offer me alot of info, nor does the PlayOnline one to be honest). Anyway, I digress.

If I create my acount, and play a month, then do not wish to renew my playtime for the next month (I usally play for one month, take one month off, play another month, I dont have a job and I'm only a teenager, money limitations and all that) can I cancel my subscription in the middle of the first month and continue playing till the original game time runs out, without my card being billed straight after?

I've tried to explain it as best I can, it's a complicated process, so if you cant decipher it, sorry

If you deactivate your ID before the billing period, it stays active until the billing period, and then you lose access until you activate it again, in which case billing won't show up immediately, but at the next billing period.

You don't really have a subscription.

You're charged for active content ID's, and the billing cycle takes place on the first calendar day of each month. You'll be billed for any active content ID that you have sitting around that are active (that is any content ID not cancelled or deleted).

So, the way to avoid being billed for a month is to cancel/delete your content IDs a couple days before the first calendar day of the month you wish to take off.

Thanks, that's just what I wanted to know I would have read the manual, and would probably know, but my copy of FFXI is currently in the post so I havent had the chance, anyways, thanks you guys.
