Content Id Question?

Hi, i just bought the new vanadiel collection today and am just patching it right now.

i created the content id using my debit card i am currently using while here in the us in college. Since im not coming back after christmas im going to be using my debit card back home to pay for the game.

My question is i got the content id for the free trial and i have cancelled that already with the intention of by the end of the trial changing the payment detaisl to charge my debit card back home in england. If i change the debit card when i get back to England, the 17th of December, if i then re activate my account when the trial ends will it charge my English debit card or my American card to start with?

You can change your payment info before you activate your content id then it would charge your england debit card.

so you've already cancelled your content id? if that is the case, they will not charge you come Dec 1.

if you haven't cancelled your content ids yet, then on Dec 1, whatever debit card you have on file, they will use that card.

Your English debit card will have a VISA or MasterCard logo, right? I'm not sure if European accounts accept non-Visa and non-MasterCard debit cards yet, but I know American accounts definitely won't accept them, like they don't accept the JCN credit cards and web money that Japanese accounts do.

dang, thats a great point. When i had the European Version it let me do that.

it doesn't have a visa or mastercard logo on it so i guess im going to have to buy it, AGAIN. oh well.


if i install the European version will i still get to keep my playonline id and be able to carry on with that character or will i have to start again?

unfortunately no, new accounts have new pol ids and thus characters

ah well.

looks like i'll use this 30 day trial as warm up period and then sell it to a friend of mine just before i head home who is interested in playing. Then i'll just buy the European version and start again. That way at least i have an understand of the basics and wont be a total newbie.
