    Cheap DVD/CD-ROM combo drive. It will probably take you longer to actually open up your case than it will to install the drive.

    If you have no computer know-how, here's a tutorial I found via Google:

    There should be no reason for that setup to not work. If you have correctly installed it, you can open up My Computer, and you will notice another drive with a new drive letter. After that, pop in the ffxi DVD, and there ya go.

      Yes, HDDs can be moved between PS2s. However, all installed software that is bootable from the Browser without a disc is locked to the console that installed it, so you have to reinstall PlayOnline Viewer to be able to run it on a different PS2. Why would a standard hard drive not be movable between two of the same hardware? That's like saying you can't buy a used hard drive and reformat it to put it in a different computer.
