    Hey, New to FFXI, and I was wondering...

    What is the approximate wait time for FFXI to download and patch the new update. I just recently downloaded with a buddy pass and I've heard it'll take a while. The estimated time thing says 9:20 minutes, and thats ridiculous. Is this the actual amount of time it'll take to update? If so I might just have to cry, cuz that is really long. Yeah. Also I am on a DSL connection, not 56k.

    as in 9 hours and 20 minutes?????

    yea, that is WAY too long, lol

    It took me two hours to DL onto the Xbox 360, and the big patches take maybe ten minutes.

        I'd give it 3 hours or so.....but yeah. 9 hours is a bit ridiculous

          Unless there is other congestion along your route to SE's servers, it should only be around 3h for a new install. Estimated times for download are often inaccurate.
          I use a Mac because I'm just better than you are.
