For expansions, you have to buy them. Whether this can be done online or not for the XBOX 360, I'm not quite sure. I would assume you'd have to buy another CD or DVD, unless the 360 has some significant storage capabilities.Character: Bricklayer

Re: if u play the 360 version PLEASE answer
im a 360 user and let me say a few things you need before you start:
xbox live silver or gold membership
at least 5 gigs oh hard drive space
visa or mastercard
the updates are feee so don't worry about that and to now on the expansion, the already comes with everything+ all the expansions (as well as ToAU) on one disk so when you pop it in to play(after you register the expansion), you get all the expansions but you still need to be a higher lvl to access the new areas"Oooo oooo, Mr. GM, that guys fishes a lot.
Oooo oooo, Mr. GM, that guy camps the guilds all the time.
You know what?
Shut the hell up."

Re: if u play the 360 version PLEASE answer
The game installs to the hard drive. All patches and minor updates are downloaded, free of charge, directly from SE. They are downloaded automatically and you cannot skip them.
Expansion packs are purchased from a local store and you install that disc to the hard drive. I highly doubt that SE would release a downloadable expansion pack. It's not like the 360 brings anything to the table in terms of downloading huge files. That's the other thing, the expansion pack files are so huge that it would take forever to download, even on a mega-high-speed connection.
That and I don't think they want to waste the bandwidth. Imagine half a million people trying to download a Gig or two all at the same time. Doesn't sound like fun to me.Haggai

I think what he was getting at though is that (I believe) you keep the disk in the game as you play (for some reason). So if there is another expansion down the road, he's not sure how that will work out.
Of course, that's a few years down the line, so maybe not so urgent, but still an entirely valid question.

In that case, I imagine that it would work like a PC expansion for a game the runs from the disk would. You just run from the disk of the newest expansion. I just reinstalled the Sims and expansions for my GF, that's how it works for those.Haggai

The next expansion's disk will most likely also fill that requirement, so you would just run the game with the latest disk in it.

There's a number of different control schemes you can use, so I won't go into too much detail, but I'm sure you can find a setting you can live with.
Oh, and in case you're wondering, the game plays very well with a controller - arguably better than just plain keyboard.

Anyone else who run on 360 notice a huge lag? Seems FPS as well as network. My wife plays on 360 and complains constantly about the huge lag compared to when she used ps2.
