Anyone else who run on 360 notice a huge lag? Seems FPS as well as network. My wife plays on 360 and complains constantly about the huge lag compared to when she used ps2.

Yes I noticed that as well. But my 360 looks better then my ps2 version(obiviously) and i use my PC for other things so i won't switch back. I actually think having it run from the disc is another reason for the lag as well. if you run games off your ps2 harddrive or PC for that matter you would notice that they load a lot faster then the disc. So the same can be said about running FFXI on your 360 since it must use the disc.

I never even thought about the disc. I assumed since they dropped everything into the HD that everything loaded off the hard drive and the disc just ran when you started for piracy protection. That's a HUGE oversight if that's true.

Wasn't there something stated that they had some fixes coming for the 360 version in Octobers update?

And the gfx looks better on 360 instead of ps2 because 360 version supports 1024x768. And the draw distance on 360 is supposed to be alot farther than PC or ps2. Same textures and what-not though.

the only thing im worried about is lag on the 360, cause i've heard a couple talk about lag on it, and others say its fine, so i dunno what to think, i kinda dont wanna take a chance of it on my computer

I wouldn't hesitate to buy it for 360. I can't imagine any inherent issues that are in it won't be resolved by the end of the year. And I have noticed what my wife says, but I haven't found it so bad it makes me not wanna play. Only reason I'm still on PC primarily is because I prefer it to a console.
