Flare Flickering issues....graphic card issues/graphical issues

I dont have any problems with my g cards in any of my other games it runs oblivion well i built the computer on my own with my own sweat and blood, my issues are sitting as follows on certain parts of the day my FLARE EFFECT for those of you adobe designers, flickers really bad... when its night time i dont have these flare flicker problems my computer doesnt lag and or has no other graphical issues its rather just a irratatance to me because i might be fighting something and the sun or day changes and i get this flickering... so i just simply move my camera in a seprate direction and im fine but this does sometimes get annoying and can result in me dieing sometimes because it annoys me.... i will try and see if i can post some pictures later anyway so you know a little or alot about my computer

Processor AMD X2 2.4 4800+
Graphic Cards 2 7900gts SLI
4 fans set up to intake and exhail hot air they do get a little hot though about 54 to 57 on load.
lots of hard drive room.
740N Samsung Syncmaster Monitor

Try disabling Midmaping in the Final Fantasy Config.
And make a game nvidia game profile for pol.exe and disable SLI for pol.exe.
Thats about all I can think of at the moment.

hey guys thanks for the right back... so make a profile for pol.exe file alright cool i see if it works out im also going to update my gpu drivers and see whats up hopefully thats the solution but otherwise is sli suppose to effect the game in that way...? or is it just that the game itself doesnt support SLI? will keep you informed on the switch thanks guys/girls.

SLI is actually "supported" but lets think of it this way FFXI has not really liked the Nvidia drivers since version 1.6693, and only recently did they bother to actually fix most of the (very well known) driver issues. And SLI just ends up adding yet another variable to the mangled mess that is FFXI's graphics code.

Plus if nothing else SLI is not gonna be any faster then running a single card due to you really end up being limited by your memory and cpu speeds. Also try turning off midmaping if you have not tried that and use uncompressed textures.

Ohh and how people mannage to put up with 2 of Nvidia's (Or ATI's) stock coolers I will never know.
