When i registered for play online i noticed i was charged $1. Is that a monthly fee or is it just a one time charge?

When you register for playonline you shouldnt be charge anything, its a free service. You get charged £12/month for the first Content ID you buy and £1/month for each additional one bought. You can create one character on each Content ID you buy to play FFXI with.

It must be a one time fee then I guess because Im certainly not getting charged to use POL, only FFXI. My mum would have noticed a £1 charge on her bill if it had anything to do with online games so Im pretty sure I was never charged (Unless she stoleded it fromz meh).

You must have registered and bought a content ID for Tetra Master.

i have never heard of SE charging $1 just for setting up POL. please double check that you didn't accidentally subscribe to extra content Ids.
