    why?? ive tried many different drivers all w/ same effect, cant figure out whats wrong unless the card is just shot...

        Well then you only had to say - can we also have more detail about the hardware you are running? Also graphic card driver version, how long this has been happening, any hardware changes you have made...

        Would help a great deal in diagnosing your problem.

          alright, its an HP storebought pos, but i picked up a geforce 6200oc pci for it so he could play games.. not 100% on the specs but im fairly certain its the gfx card,,, ive tried versions 84.x and 91.x along w/ the drivers on the cd it came w/.. clearly not a FFXI problem -but- if anyone has experienced it hopefully they can help.. thanks

              Yeah, the card is shot. What were you using before? Any problems then?

                You can try returning the video card and getting another and see if the problem goes away. If it doesn't, you got an issue with hardware in the PC that you probably won't find unless you have a diagnostic tool to identify it.

                You can see if someone else may have a similar issue, or post a new thread and maybe someone will answer it for you. This site is frequented by industry experts and professionals. Heck, maybe an HP support tech might answer >.>
