  • Please help. I cant play at all!!!

    I played ffxi around last november for a couple of months. After a while i didnt have the time to play, so i quit and disabled my account. Now i want to play the game again. but when i use my playonline ID it says i have to re-register and enter my payment details. This is fine but when i put in my details it says there is an error.

    If i just try to register again with a new ID, it tells me my registration is invalid.

    The game is real and worked last time. I just dont know what to do.

    Has anyone else had this problem and if so how can i fix it???

    If it's Playonline that's giving you that error and not the Content ID then you canceled the wrong thing. You never cancel the POL that is free if you cancel it you invalidate all your registry keys and your account.

    As far as I know the only thing you can do at that point is start over with new registry keys. Can try contacting SE and seeing about getting that fixed, but last I recall they don't restore POL accounts that were terminated. Been a while since I've seen this issue so from how it was back then and now could be different.

    Best bet is to contact SE..

      I didn't cancel it as such, it just cancelled itself after I didnt log on for a month or so.

      So i think it could have just been my ffxi player that got cancelled.

      but since then i have got a new pc. so i had to reinstall everything


      thanks for the info though. I may have to buy another copy as i dont think i can wait til monday to ring their customer services.

      well i know my POL id, and i believe all that was deleted was the content id.. so i go to reactivate it and it says fine if i enter visa details.. so i enter visa information, all checked and correct and it loads for a few seconds then says "system error occured, Please wait a few moments and try again"

      and i cant get past this stage.

        Ahh, I see so it's when you are trying to purchase content ID.. Well that's a different issue, sounds like an error on their part. Should be able to get ahold of them through POL.

          They're west coast. Should have 10 more minutes atleast. I think customer service has limited hours too on Saturday. Ofcourse I could totally be pulling that out of my butt.
          I'd try calling now and see if you can get a human being on the line.

            Hmm. im in uk, they have an office here but it shuts at 6pm and is only open durin the week.

            thanks for all the help though. i think im just gonna buy a new copy and start again later. I'll probably see some of you guys while playing later...



            EDIT: It's ok now. Thanks for all the replys. I got a copy from GAME and it works fine.
