Hi, my name's KaXXii,
And I just reinstalled FFXI. (well, twice.)
Anyways, it's installed to the directory it used to be in /playonline/square enix/FFXI.
Everything's great when i log in, no more errors or anything, except it gives me this crap about not having installed and registered the expansions.
So I say, "Ok, i'll play a little without this since i've been without FFXI in oh, say.. a week"
And I did. And it was glorious.
More to the point...
This morning I decided to fix the problem, so I popped up the disc that came with my game and click "install rise of zilart".
It loads up with the uninstall screen somehow. Well, there's a prompt that asks me if I'm hunky dory with letting it uninstall all my macros and what not.
I say "no!!!! get awaaaay!" and try to figure out another solution.
Maybe re-registering the expansions? Nope. Can't do that. I guess you can only do it once or something. It was screaming about that ;_;
Oh btw, may I mention that I just uninstalled FFXI and nothing else?
I wasn't sure if this should go as a reply to my other thread or what but this is technically a completely different issue ;_; not sure still..
please help if you can? any advice would be greatly appreciated as I have no clue what to do (should i just go through with the uninstallation, etc?)
