Re: Problems logging in to FFXI
Sounds like a cool teacher.

Have you tried searching through the FAQ that installs with FFXI???
Maybe there's an answer in that, or somewhere on the PO or FFXI website...

Re: Problems logging in to FFXI
Yes, the TnL error (Texture and Lighting) is a graphic related problem. Your graphic card's driver likely got corrupted and needs replaced or alternatly the graphic card just works to good for the game and you need to disable the graphic accelerator.
If you are going to update the driver you'll need to find out what graphic card you have and visit their site to find an update. You can also check to see if the graphic accelerator is on and take it off too while you are at it. To check what type of card you have go to Control Panel>Display then the Tab "Settings" and select "Advanced..."
Once there select the "Adapter" tab to see if the sytem can identify what type you have. While in there also select the "Troubleshooting" tab and see if the Hardware acceleration is set to Full or none. If it is set somewere in-between try setting to Full and then try running it, if it fails then try setting to none and try again see if it works.Last edited by Macht; 05-23-2006, 03:59 PM.
