Help with PS2->XBOX Switch

I have been playing since 2004 on a PS2 and am endeavoring to switch to the XBOX360.
I have my XBOX set up and connected to the internet and have activated the free gold
XBOX Live Gold account although I understand that only Silver is required. I have also
purchased and installed the XBOXversion of FFXI. POL was able to update so it is clear that
I have a sucessful connection there.

My question is, POL on the XBOX will not accept my POL ID and Password from my account
on my PS2 (yes I have tried multiple times) even though it works just fine on my PS2.
Perhaps I just do not understand, there are no instructions regarding this type of migration
included, but it seems to me that I need to be able to use that POL account to be able to
retain my existing characters?

If anyone has sucessfully made this conversion or any platform switch for that matter I
would appreciate some assistance.

I'd like an answer to this too, as i'm getting the game for 360 soon.

Have you made sure you were Case-sensitive on both POL ID and Password?

Well, I can tell you it should. We have PC, PS2, and 360 versions of the game and use all our codes on each system. In fact, we just bought the 360 version to install it and used all of our codes from our PC's and PS2 on it.

Yes I did ensure that I was using the proper case, or at least the same case anyway on both platforms. My PS2 sucessfully logs into POL using the exact same POL ID and Password that fail to work on my XBOX360, case included. Unless the 360 client is case sensitive for some
reason where the PS2 client is not, but I am almost certain that the authentification is
handled server side and I seem to recall that the PS2 inputs are case sensitive as well.

From my understanding, EVERY password in the WORLD is case sensitive. And in regards to POL ID's, they always have to be in CAPS.

I've been playing on PS2 since launch, and when I built my computer recently, I installed my GF's copies on it. I used my IDs from PS2 and everything works fine.

My guess is, and not to sound like I'm bashing you or anything, that somehow, somewhere, case sensitivity is the issue.

I have to agree that it must be an issue on the user end. I have installed PS2 codes on my 360 without a hitch so it can be done.
