Omfg Help Plz!

just got my game in mail this morning and it is so so hard to install games nowa days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omfg i got play online goin but cannot login... some unknown error! and so now did i just buy this piece of crap game for nothing??? this was such a rip off i think games need to be like they used to easy for retards to download!!! i baught diablo 2 when it just came out... took me one easy step... here i go through play online, most stupid confuseing thing in the world, then have to deal with finishing installing FFXI, and thats not even the half of it... what to do what to do? i hate to waste my money and hate to bitch to people on a forum but im not letting this go to waste i really think ill enjoy FFXI if i can get it going.

There's a manual that came with the game. It might be useful to take a look at it. It includes very detailed instructions on how to install the game.

Don't worry =P Games tend to make people angry at times, just try calming down and think. Does your computer have the requirments for the game?

And um.. I haven't gotten the game yet (I've said in like 3 other posts that I'm getting it today =P) but do you have to subscribe first or whatever? I know there's a 30 day trial but maybe they still need it first.

Hopefully smarter people on here than me can help^^

when i try to log into playonline thingy that i installed on desktop with the game... when i try to log in my guy i made it says Error code: POL-1307
unknown error [1307]

/sigh what to do?

Call the number of PlayOnline Support in your manual. They'll be able to help you troubleshoot the installation process if you're having issues.

Considering error code 1305 and error code 1311 are both installation errors, it's quite possible that 1307 is an error of that type. However, I've never seen it myself.

Are you sure you bought the whole game? Maybe you just bought an expansion without the actual game or something. And if you did buy the game, did you install Playonline first, then install FFXI and the expansions?

I tried googling POL-1307, but nothing came out of it, which means it doesn't happen to many people I guess.

I saw a post on another forum yesterday (I only have an account here, but I was a "guest" on this other forum, I don't know the forum name) about some guy getting the expansion by mistake lol.

I'll make sure to get just Final Fantasy XI, not the expansion. I know I'll be mad if that happens.

Actually, does anyone have a picture of the Final Fantasy XI game cover for pc? I think it's the white one with... hard to explain, I'll find a picture myself..

My recommendation is to completely uninstall what you have so far and go back and try it again.

I'm assuming that you actually did buy the game itself and not the expansion, because the POL install disc doesn't come with any expansion.

Anyway, uninstall, reinstall, try again. If you're still having issues, call the support line.

As far as Diablo II goes...

Simple, stupid games have simple, stupid installations. Consider these problems you're having to be your first quest in FFXI. And trust me, it only gets more challenging.

lol good luck jekk, i still didnt get the game goin i got error 1307 still... im haveing my mommy come do this stuff she is a computer wiz! if she dont get it i just dont know... she thinks its my firewall, shell twink with it till it works she always does when i tell her to drive an hour to come do my computer stuff =P
