I work at my local Gamestation, and have been unsure of whether I should buy the full copy of FFXI (played the beta and thought it was great)
Then thought, WHY NOT?! It's not like i have much much else to spend my money on...
Came home today, to find myself stopped by a "POL-1361"
Okay, sh1t happens, but they could at least VAGUELY explain why I can't play yet...

This if fucking stupid. Why bother to release the game, if you're gonna have to wait a week OR MORE to play it?!?!
I HATE the PlayOnline Viewer, I'd have been better off buying beer instead.
It'd be alright if they compensated us in some way, but instead we'll get a "We're sorry for any inconvenience"
I think it's about time to write and angry letter, or email! Who's with me????

:p having played the PC version for 3 years i can safely say. Shut up, and wait. It will be resolved, the 360 version is new, it's an online game, there are bound to be teething problems. Just be patient, and i dunno, rip someone a new one on PDz or something.

i am i say they should do something about it its been nearly a week since i had the game i got it the day it came out and hasnt worked at all, i used the online helo they said just keep tryin, i tried for 8 hours and nothing, so i say they do something proper about it

Hi guys, I'm completely new here, but on reading this thread I wanted to fill you in on what I experienced...hence the sign-up! Like all you guys I was having that same damn error message, but I chalked it up to the fact that unfortunately with MMORPGs the registration servers simply can't handle many requests....so I kept trying. Yup...just keep hitting that damn try again button and you'll get there. Think of it like playing the lottery. Every page you must again take the chance to try and get through to the bloody server....and then sometimes you do! It took me about 2 hours to get the lot done (play-online through to registering all 3 expansions). Sometimes it would only take about 10 tries to reload a page, and other times it was over 100, but I will say that at around 8 secs per attempt, it's do-able....not fun...but do-able. Just keep plugging away!

what so all you did was keep pressing retry button cause i rad that that didnt help if it does its alot easier than going through the whole thing over and over

All I can tell you is how I did it, and yes, just hitting retry (quickest attempt was 12 tries or so, and the worst was over 100 - and I was only counting for a bet ) All I can say is it's worth a try....I know it seems odd just to keep getting the same error again and again, but I personally think it's just a standard server time-out due to heavy traffic. yes it should cause i kept exiting and startin reg all from begining cause somewhaere i read pressing retry didnt help thanks so much,

edit: yup it worked i got to page 6 in about 1 and a half hours to find out i put my card details in rong so i gave up and will try again when bro gets off halo2

edit: yay only took 4 hours in total just a note when registering content id dont press retry if you get pol-1361 just exit and it registered i accidntly register 14 and the games is as good as i thought, i keep gettin lost though and catnget much money either only lvl 3
