I cant create a Char

Hello im new here i use to play FFXI awhile ago about 2 years but and im starting back

but well i installed it and all on my computer and when i start the game and go to Create Character it shuts down and a window comes up saying something playonline needing to close it has 3 buttons Debug, Send Error Report, and Dont Send

ive click them all but nothing seems to help im sorry but can anyone help me get past this so i can play?

p.s. im sorry if this isnt the right forum and im sorry for my stupidity >_<

Your video card might not support it or something.
Try going to the FFXI Config thing and setting checking the "Simplified Character Creation Visuals" box (under the Misc. tab).
If that doesn't help, download the latest Direct X and update your graphics card drivers...

ok ill give that a shot but when you mean update my graphix card drivers you mean?

im very computer ignorant all i know is Photoshop basicly >_< im sorry

My cousin has one, and it isn't even compatible with FFXI.

hmm.. well.. i guess today ill be getting a new one and i also guess tahts why i cant play 5 min of Half Life2 without it closin.... wow... well do yall have any suggestions on i guess decent price GFX cards?
