I just got Final Fantasy XI - The Vana'Diel Collection for Christmas and I got everything installed but my cousin and are trying to update the PlayOnline and it says that there is an error. Here is exactly what the error looks like and says!

Version Update Communication Error
Error code: POL-1160

Network is busy or there are connection problems. Please try again later or verify that cables, networking devices, and network settings are properly configured.

Im having the same problem but with my PS2. My was working just fine. I took the connection and hooked it up to my computer, it works fine now when hooked up to my pc, but when i plug the ethernet cable back into my PS2 it brings up that same error code. >< Its really driving my up the wall.

for the pc, you can try /flushdns

run>>ipconfig>>/flushdns
or ">>">>">>/release>>/renew

not sure if this will work, but gluck. don't know how it'd work for the PS2 though =X
