POL Error- 0020

Does anyone have any tips on how to deal with this error message?

I get this when I try to sign unto PlayOnline. The internet and everything goes through, but, when it begins to check my PlayOnline viewer version, it will check it for a good 2 minutes and then this message pops up. Saying that the DNS server cannot respond and that I need to check my network connects and etc.

I've already connected to several online PS2 games with no problem, so obviously my network is correct. This is a problem that is unique to FFXI and PlayOnline for me. I already searched the official site and that gave me squat so If anyone had suggestions I'd appreciate that.

I get that message sometimes. I usually just reset my router and modem by unplugging them for about 15-30 seconds then it works just fine.

What Hereaux said should work.. if not, try resetting the DNS settings manually.

I'll try unplugging my router...but can you explain how I reset my DNS manually?

you have to know the routers address... like 196.138.32.1 (that's just one i made up, dont try it) then login to the router, reset the dns then i usually just do auto detect to set them back
