Update Failure Problem. Please Help!

The ISP I use at the moment is giving me problems trying to update FFXl, and it keeps timing out at the first setup bit. (where it goes through checking the files process, after it downloads them) I'm still waiting to get in touch with my ISP, (well, it's called Bulldog Broadband. Anyone heard of it?) but in the meantime, does anyone know if there is a link where I can just download the setup files manually instead of letting PoL run the files biy itself?
Failing that, is there any other way I can get access to the update files instead?
This would be a very great help, as I am not able to play FFXl at all, and have not been able to play for nearly a month now!
So I'm paying my money on an ID Account for a game I cannot even play, which to me, is very silly!

Can anyone help me out here please?

no. sadly SE does not make the updates available for seperate download.

I think SE should do something about this, especially since other players have had similar problems too. This just makes it rather more annoying for me right now.

Are you quite certain that there is absolutely no other way to update my game, other than letting the PoL Viewer update them itself, in the way that we are all having to cope with at the moment?
