So um.... wtf is going on here? It just sits like that for 15mins is the longest ive lasted without restarting it out of frustration.




Edit: Thought I should add a bit more info.

Its my Jp version I bought about 2-3years? ago. I installed it a while ago and it updated but its not doing it now. Just re installed windows so thought I would instal both my versions for Jp input so Im installing Jp first cause I know its fussy like that. Then this **** happens when I go to update. I cant actually speak much Jp so Im at a loss, please help me out.

Pretty much it's saying that you don't have enough space on your hard drive to download the updates.

not quite right.

what this one's saying is it's checking the available disk space and size of the update files to be downloaded, so it's pretty much the "please wait" screen.

as to why update is stopping at this screen, i don't know. u might wanna double check the procedure for installing both JP and EN clients, posted somewhere.

Ok, heres something that makes no sense. Left my pc on overnight downloading patchs for Eu version FFXI 1hour30left or something. Downloaded some other stuff totalling about 1GB while I lay down to rest my little head. Whack on Jp POL this morning after just posting the above and it works.......go figure

yeah i did, and came back 2 days ago, in a search for a place where i can practice reading and writing english; i've been away from using it for a little long and feeling i need to do something to keep it up.


anyways, the list of romaji for the words used;

空き = "aki" note that 空 by itself is "sora" (= sky) but in this case it's followed by き so becomes 空き = aki. use caution not to mix it up w/ 秋, which means fall (as in a season).

容量 = "youryou" there's another common word 要領, written the same way in romaji. when u look it up, keep that in mind.


if the dictionary doesn't give u the clear idea, lemme know.

Nah, Ive got it covered on 2Mbps but Im not actually downloading atm cause I alt tabbed it.
1hour left. Ill get the rest while Im at uni later.

I was... /cry... Took me 2-days to re-install all my NA stuff (Final Fantasy, zilart, Cop). However, it took me only a day to install my JP stuff. Wonder why?

/slaps fore head... DUH! That's right my NA stuff is before Cop and the JP stuff is with CoP.

that's good. having faster line never hurts.

one problem is, tho, once u get a fast line u can never go back to the slower line. if u get something like 8Mbps now, then 2Mbps is something u'd never go back to, or at least not wanting to. not to mention more and more online contents r becoming bandwidth hungry, leaving dial-up users behind. at any rate, lemme know when u dicide to go fiber lol.

sry to hear that. it might be a good exercise if u start making backups, although the combined file size make it difficult to do so on a removable media.

if u make backups of the entire folder, u can just paste them after u install everything, and while u still have to go thru the lengthy file checking process, u won't need to re-download the files that r already there, thus saving a huge amount of time especially if ur line is slow.
