A couple questions concerning the a hard drive I have.
1)Will a computer hard drive be used with a ps2?
2)Are there any special adapters I have to buy?
3)Does windows have to be installed on the hard drive?

If you're getting FFXI on PS2, it comes with the hard drive you need and all setup utilities.

No, it dosn't come with <b>all</b> you need, you still need a network adapter.

Correct, for the PS2 if you buy the FFXI version for the PS2 it comes with the HDD for the PS2. In order for the PS2 HDD to work with the PS2 though you will need the Network Adapter.

Unless you are modding your PS2 then those rules all change completly, given what seems to be your technical knowledge though I would not suggest modding it. Also be aware that the PS2 Slim does not have a sanctioned PS2 HDD for it's use, so FFXI will not work on it unless you mod the PS2 slim.
