Ps2 using AOL, question

Is there still an addtional cost if your service provider is AOL to connect the Ps2 to the internet? I know that there was before but I don't see that anymore. So is there? Thanks a million, this is why I still don't have the 1 game I want most of all, that stupid additional payment made my parents say I can't get it, so if its gone then YAY!
