Hello all.. I just had to reinstall the game...and need some help...i reloaded my os and reloaded the game...no for some reason..when i get to char slection screen and beyond into the game..everything is real pixelated...not clean and smooth as before...my video drivers are loaded and good...everything else is clean...tried all the settings i can under ffxi settings...running fx 5600 video card...before instal...everything was picture perfect...any ideas what couldbe the problem?

as to your question on pixelation its a memory shortage it is common with that card i had to have mine replaced through the website but it will take about a week to get the new card with the rma process -
I currently have a similar problem. I have an ATI Radeon All-in-Wonder 8500. With my original Drivers, Playonline was fine. Smooth and clean. And the game was fine. But one day, I decided to install the new Cataclysm drivers for my ATI card. I opened Playonline. It wasn't like before. It was pixelated. Very slow. 4 time slower than on the PS2. But the game is perfect. It's only Playonline.
I only found 2 solution to this problem.
Reinstall my original drivers I had when I bought this card.
or
Run the game in 16-bits. Playonline is like before in 16-bits and it doesn't like different from a 32-bits launch.
I tried to reinstall Playonline, but it didn't correct the problem. I can't have a smooth Playonline in 32-Bits.
