    Re: Stone-Splitter's low DMG

I said that if you give drg war like equip, it would be unbalanced.
    This is completely untrue.

A job that is based on 2-hand weapons will never, ever beat a job that is able to exploit Dual Wield speed bonuses or MNK with natural dual wield bonuses. Not on exp mobs, not on Kirin, not on anything. DRG being able to access gear that BST(who outdmg them is most situations) have access to would not make the job as strong or stronger than the current WAR/MNK/NIN triad of doom.

Stone-splitter is broken in terms of being a Couse polearm. It is nothing like a Couse(with high delay and attack, but less than lances) of any kind and its model should be changed or its delay/attack should be raised. Either way, its a piece of crap weapon no one would want to use in any situation. All 2-hand weapons need to either have less delay or higher damage, but this one especially is just wrong. Its like giving an Axe a delay of 600, it is not the normal stats for that type of weapon(in this case, a couse). All in all, DRG gets screwed again in their armor selection, like many times before.

All those polearms fail to compare to level 65-73 axes. Juggernaut, Man-Eater, Kriegsbeil, and Woodville's Axe. Thats just weapon selection. If you compare a WAR or BST(omg, pet job)'s Haub to the crap DRG has to wear, it just gets worse.

      Re: Stone-Splitter's low DMG

There's nothing wrong with this Spear. It's on par with all the other Lv.73 Spears with DLY:396. And that's WITH OUT the Latent. It's also on par with DPS, BEFORE the latent.
mind you, did you read the post? it's about why this weapon have lower power than the other three of it's family... /sigh

too much other job envy going on here.
you mentioned being unbalanced, i just Countered.

For some reason I feel this is going to turn into another why_cant_you_give_drg_more thread.
for some reason you went way off topic, all you said have nothing to do with the question i wrote.

How do they not have good weapons? With regards to weapons only, how are they not good when compared to other weapons?
look at Guttler this is called "Relic Axe" or in other words, Final stage of the relic axe.
and look here Maneater this is a normal Axe equiped by several jobs even RNG can equip it ^^ (note the hidden Attack+18 Accuracy+5 and the fact the latent will be always active)
here is something else, Amanomurakumo this is the Relic Great Katana ok? and here is this one, check it out Onimaru.
      here is the bad news,
check this outpage and this page. by now you should have a good idea of how DRG's weapons at 70+ have DMG over 80 right?
      look here, Stone-splitter.

Stone-splitter, Maneater and Onimaru share the SAME ENM and the SAME latent, it's a one family of weapons.
question is, why Stone-splitter is left behind with a lame DMG72?
i wish you understoon what i meant Omni

btw This Threas is not about DRG equip or about Spears's low DMG /sigh
if for some reason some will still argue about this weapons being a spear/couse/trident or w/e so it have to have low DMG/Delay the RELIC itself is NOT a LANCE, again IT"S NOT A LANCE *zomg save the world, make the relic a lance so it have high DMG/Delay!!!!1!!1!1!!*

        Re: Stone-Splitter's low DMG

        Stone Splitter: 10.76 DPS

        Onimaru: 11.07 DPS

Yeah, it's slightly inferior in DPS alone. WS damage will of course also suffer from being a weaker and faster weapon.
