I got this idea from reading the bank thread, but what about having a LS Safe that is only accessible by LS members? It could be a standard 50-80 space storage so the linkshell can put their "community" items in there to share with the whole linkshell whenever needed. Personally, i think this would be a great asset and help spur and encourage more cooperativeness and teamwork between LS members in their own Lnkshells

Re: LS Safe
It does sound like a good idea, and I'd probably make use of it with my static party. I've always contributed as much as possible to community spoils in every other mmo I've played and this would probably inspire me to craft more and stuff the safe with Arrows and other random crafted items. We've got a Kampf set that gets passed around between a few members of the static as well that would benefit from being placed in a spot that everyone can access so we don't have to bug Cait for it whenever it's needed for something.sigpic

Re: LS Safe
This would be useful for my LS, too. I wonder how something like this could be implemented? Maybe give all Pearlsack holders access to it and show a History similar to the AH?
Aug 1, 2006 Character1 placed a Haubergeon in the LS safe.
Aug 2, 2006 Character2 removed a Haubergeon from the LS safe.
edit: actually our LS mule currently has...
- various medications that I synth because I happen to have the materials
- flowers for the MH shortcuts
- various items needed for several quests
- beds used for the Mog Safe expansions and other Moogle-quest furniture
- assorted gear from members who've left the game
- misc
It's a plethora of *stuff*! And it's cumbersome for me to be on often enough to hand it out to whoever needs it.Last edited by Nakti; 08-08-2006, 08:17 PM.They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. - Benjamin Franklin

Re: LS Safe
I like this idea. I am always up for having more storage space. Also, it would be convienent to just grab stuff out of a communal storage instead of having to ask people. That way you can keep sets of things for BCNM runs or what not. I also like the history idea. Just in case you wondered who took what. Also, the LS leader would probably have to make certain people allowed and others not. Can't have the new guy take all of your expensive stuff and run.You kill one man, your a murderer
Kill many and your a conquerer
Kill them all... your a God.

Re: LS Safe
LSes are not guilds, a LS Safe isn't exactly imaginable.
Also how easily exploitable.
You can make 60 LSes on your mule, and have 80 spots.
Just not something FFXI needs and apparently would be impossible thanks to the "PS Limitations"Read my blog.ffxibrp.livejournal.comCurrently: Entry #32, August 31/07.

Adding more storage is possible, expanding existing storage is not.
