  • New Merit Category: SP Modification?

    Question: Would the developers consider adding a new merit point category, for the purpose of strengthening, adding new functions, or extending the duration of the "2 hour" "SP" Abilities?

    Example:

    Paladin: (Each bullet point is a different trait)
    -Extend Length of Invincible Effect
    -Add "Magic Immunity" or "Magic Resist Up" to Invincible Effect
    -Add "Regen" effect for length of "Invincible"
    -Add "Refresh" effect for length of "Invincible"
    -Add Area-of-Effect "Defense Up" for Allies when Invincible is used.

    I can't really speak for other jobs, so I'll leave it at that. Of course, it would take multiple merits to unlock this stuff, and there'd be caps to prevent 'having it all' and unbalancing everything, and so forth.

    umm, sounds intersting, but at merit lvls, pld already has refresh as a job trait. Unless your thinking of making it go up to 3mp per tick?

      I haven't fine tuned the idea, but I wanted to throw the idea out there.

      I can't really think of how to improve Benediction and Wild-Card, for example. Those might kill the idea before it gets discussed very much.

      The thought crossed my mind when I was reading a post about why Invincible doesn't render the PLD invincible to Magic as well. I thought "Hmm, merits!"

        It would be a good idea, i'm thinking like 10 merits for a single addition though, thats how crazy it sounds.

        BLM
        - Extra Magic Accuracy
        - Extra Magic Attack
        - After it ends, give a grace period of 10 seconds where Convert MP lands 100% for the duration

        RDM
        - Conserve MP trait boost
        - Extra Magic Accuracy
        - Extra Enfeebling Skill

        WAR
        - Extra TP gain for each hit
        - Extra Accuracy
        - Lower Delay

        MNK
        - Chance of stun with each hit
        - Chance of fear with each hit
        - Last blow deals extra damage, something like x3 more dmg

        THF
        - Lowered Delay for attacks
        - Higher crit chance
        - Ignore defense chance

        ... just tossing ideas around XD

          Balfree ... I think you got a point under BLM and a point under RDM wrong. Convert should go under RDM and Conserve MP under BLM, no?

              Consuming no MP would be a little much if you ask me, but the others are good.

              - Incease length of Soul Voice ability.
              - Increase effect of Soul Voice ability by 5%?

              Really all I could think of.

              -COR
              - Add MP regain 100% of the time.
              - Add TP gain 100% of the time.

              Maybe not complete MP or TP on either of them, maybe like 1/4 or 1/2 on both.

                Bloodpact timers would still take in effect, it just makes your Avatar usable afterwards without resting, as well as allowing you to use atleast 3 Astral Flow's within that 3 minutes. It really wouldn't affect it that much since with Astral Flow out you GAIN mp by just standing around.

                  -Decreased Enmity
                  -Partially restores MP to party members in range
                  -Adds Blink effect or a weak Stoneskin effect to party members in range
                  -Enhances effects of existing Protect and Shell buffs on party members in range
                  Ellipses on Fenrir
                  There is no rush. If you're not willing to take your time, don't be surprised when no one wants to give you much of theirs.

                    I like this one But would actually Like to see the damage Doubled.
                    As it stands Alot of us, me included, Use our SP simply to conserve MP from using
                    Level 70 Blood Pacts.

                    Level 70 Pacts can often outdamage the Astral Flow. I'd love a merit to Boost Astral Flow damage.
