  • Nomad Moogle - Selbina - *Pweeeese*

    As title.

Four years in, and repeated requests, you would have thought that the Moogles would have gotton the hint by now!

As someone said before - boot camp is meant to be hard.

It is at these levels you learn how to avoid mobs that aggro - moogles in Selbina would only make it too easy.

I dont see how this would change that aspect. You still have to dodge aggro when you are levelling a job there, plus it would make it more convenient to change jobs depending on subs / mains that are required for a group.

Meaning that it would be easier for someone to just go and get their high level other job and clear out any aggro concerns, or raise everyone who died, etc. I mean, yeah - handy. But not particularly good for teaching people to be self-sufficient.

I'm totally for placing a nomad moogle in or near another comparably leveled zone though. Then maybe people wouldn't live in Valkurm.

You would have to get to selbina on your first few low level jobs avoiding aggro anyway. There is already a HP there. Someone who is going to take their lv34+ Job to Selbina to change to 10-20 job will have already learnt the ways of the dunes/aggro etc. Still I dont have a problem really getting a job to the dunes so I dont see the point in this unless its to free up space in your inv while traveling to trade moss'.

Still, I would appreciate it if Squeenix could be sent the question for consideration.

Also, as an aside, most dunes parties have at least one powerlevel these days - so the above isnt that much of a problem anymore. I dont mean that to be a plus or minus to my request, or to bare any weight on it, but I must have only been in 3 or 4 groups recently (as WHM ironically) that didnt have PLs doing exactly what you have just said Murphie.

There are also even higher level melee jobs hanging around taking links from players on Fenrir - helping, but not allowing them to be self sufficient. Those who leave PL XP parties are instantly replaced with another person who doesnt mind / wants to be PL'd.

Anyway - thats way off topic. Hopefully the question can be sent.

If it helps any, I'd be all for it. I was just explaining why I think it won't happen.

Just remove the cap off the outposts and you don't need a moogle. If you have the outpost you've already proved you can navigate around the zone. The whole deal with only being able to use an outpost once you're past the level range for the zone is dumb as a bag of wtf. It can't have anything to do with safety either as anyone who has used the Cape Terrigan outpost will testify.

Cheap Phoenix Down is what's needed, with a larger penalty than homepointing. Yes larger. Makes dying a lesson well learnt and gives incentive to actually set your homepoint in the Dunes.

No to the nomad moogle - If I can run from Windurst to Sandoria on my level one mule, stopping by the crags on the way it's thanks to the dunes. If anything, they need more Bogys.

They should tie in blockaid to the weather there, so every so often the powerleveler is useless and everyone is on their own. That would be a good addition to the dunes. That and more Bogys.

And yes.. REMOVE THE OP WARP CAP!! It's stupid to have to be level 20 to reach a level 10-12 zone.

Agreed regarding the OP warp. It's frustrating as heck to be able to use it to leave if you stay until the last possible level you can exp there, but to not be able to use it to get there.

think of the story...... Nomad moogles where introduced in RoZ, selbina and Mhahara are not a part of RoZ, so Nomad moogles have no reason to go there.

So why are there nomad moogles in CoP areas then? Besides they like to travel, no reason they would avoid all non expansion areas.

Re: Nomad Moogle - Selbina - *Pweeeese*

Suddenly I'm not as opposed to this idea as I usually am. But here's the twist I propose:

Put a Nomad Moogle in Selbina and Mhaura, but have it "on vacation" or something anytime there's any weather in Valkurm or Buburimu, respectively. "Kupo! It's too hot/windy/dusty to work today! Go talk to my cousin in Mhaura/Selbina if you want something done."

Or have them trade after one has been "bothered" by 50 adventurers in a row. Surly, lazy Nomad Moogles for the win.
                            Ellipses on Fenrir
There is no rush. If you're not willing to take your time, don't be surprised when no one wants to give you much of theirs.
                            ,
                            . . .

If I were a moogle, I would want to go to Selbina for vacation. I like the idea of lowering the cap on the outpost warp.
                              Thanks Kazuki.
