Does S-E plan anymore "improvements" to Choco digging?

The current state of digging is unacceptable. It's as if a crafter is restricted to making a maximum of 20 synths a day with any subsequent synths having a 100% fail rate for a 24 hour period.

Are there any changes that may correct the mess, or is this the way people are going to have to live with it?

The 20 stacks of Gysahl Greens limit (240 digs) is higher than the fishing daily limit. I like it b/c it prevents 24-hour dig bots from operating. Besides, with 1-minute zone refreshes, I think there will be a lot more items--just not all dug up by gilsellers. It should make digging more friendly to a wider range of people.

Or is this perhaps some other limit on a specific number of items gathered?

Well, the quick answer is: obviously yes. Digging will be affected by what kind of chocobo you dig with. The system right now is only half-implemented and it's arguable that they should have delayed the baseline digging changes to synchronize them with chocobo raising, but whatever the short-term effect it is only temporary anyway.

Also it opens up digging to more people - it will be significantly easier to raise skill if there are fewer other diggers running around, and opening the areas near Al Zahbi will help too. The tie-in between chocobo raising and digging will likely encourage more people to dig. So from an overall economy standpoint, you may see a similar total amount of items dug up, but spread across a larger number of diggers.

This will, of course, annoy people who were monopolizing the market on philosophers stones or whatever, but really, go cry somewhere else. There's dozens of ways to make money in this game and the fact that you can't rely on one way for 100% of your income is a *good* thing. And the fact that it's now harder for RMT to exploit it is an even better thing.
