  • The chaos that is gear

Recently Hydra was released and defeated on multiple servers. It drops were Hydra Scale, Hydra Fang, and Orobon Lure. These materials are assumed to make the following.

    http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/8678
This would be good, but there is a catch. The latent is activated when you are poison. Fair enough... however, the poison is transformed into a 20/tick damaging poison until this is taken off(stripping your TP and all). This item has no place in any range'd slot.

    And Hydra Mail...

    http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/8725
    http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/8735
    Two examples.

Hydra Mail seems to be a small upgrade of Gavial Mail, aside from +Accuracy and +Evasion, they are the same. Gavial is a SAM/DRG armor. It is used by exactly 0% of SAM/DRG armor because of how terribly weak it is. Hydra Mail is simply the worst effort/reward ratio in the entire game, previously Relic-1 armor.

What would have made sense is boosting Gavial Mail into what Hydra Mail is, and take Hydra Mail and make an extremely good set of armor for DRG/SAM... something filled with stats that would increase their ability to put high damage in Weapon Skills and maybe something to combat the powerful moves used by Cerberus and Hydra(maybe a Burn: Regen on each piece, 2 Regen a piece, totalling up to a 10 Regen when Burn is on you).

Moving away from the HNM area, we will talk about a Great Axe named Amood. Amood had GREAT potential, when people saw it in the .dats, everyone was very happy because it would make WAR have a use for Great Axe, even if it was abit weak.

    http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/8179

Now when you see this you think... okay, obviously, the latent(low damage, occasionally attack twice) is on while I have TP 1-300%, so I can build TP very fast after the first hit. The latent isn't on at TP 0%, so my Weapon Skill(in which you have TP 0%) can be good damage. HOWEVER! This is very far from the case.

Amood's latent is active... based on the moon. The latent during a small 10% period, I believe the 'half-moon', whatever it is called. After that 10%, you simply get a subpar damage great-axe. This completely ruins Amood, in everyway. No sane Warrior would ever want one, and Temperance Axe destroys any point of it. If SE really wanted to make it based on the moon, why not have the proc rate be based on it. Have it double-attack a lot on half-moon, barely double attack on new or full moon. However this potentially awesome weapon, with its own model, will never be used to any good used. It has become a wasted of space on this game, like so many other weapons and armor sets.

It just doesn't make sense in my opinion and I'm wondering SE, why not add better items... or better said, items that are worth the effort to hard challenges like Hydra.

    The fact comes...

The best items in the game come from one source. This source is three years old, and no one has got enough of this source so they don't stop camping it. This source is the "Three Kings", Fafnir(NQ), Nidhogg(HQ), Aspidochelone, and King Behemoth. No gear in the game has come close to Adaman Hauberk(STR+10 DEX+10 Attack+15 Accuracy+15). Ridil is the strongest weapon in the game, by miles and miles. While it seems impossible for SE to think that people rather turn these fights into daily/weekly instanced battles, it also seems impossible that any of their drops come near their drops. Not monsters who are 2 times harder... Wyrms... or 10 times harder... Absolute Virtue, have better drops than the "Three Kings". It doesn't even come close. Most encounters with Tiamat end with Fire Crystals and maybe a Beetle Blood that goes for 200-300k. Tiamat's "good" drops are considered Noritsune Kotes(Accuracy+10 hand gear, MNK/SAM/NIN) and Herald's Gaiters(MP+12 Evasion+8 Movement+12% feet gear, BLM/MNK/SMN/WHM)... neither come close. Noritsune Kotes are not as good as Ochiudo's Kote and Herald's Gaiters are toy. Many linkshells are 0/20 on the drop rate of Herald's Gaiters.

Here is an armor that is created by a material dropped by another Wyrm, Jormungand.

    Barone Corazza / (HQ) Conte
    lvl70 DRG/WAR
    Attack+13 / 14(HQ)
    Enmity +2 / 3
    Regen
    Jump TP Bonus (2) / (3)

That does DRG no justice who can't even use any Hauberk type armor and Warrior would be much much better off with the lower-level Hauberk type armors. Now let's pretend SE went back and improved armor, like they did with Daggers. Saw how happy people were with Daggers right? Well changing old armor to be good would make people so happy that a lot people who quit the game(+200,000 people since the release of Chains of Promathia) come back. Let's look at a "new" verison of Barone Corazza SE could make:

    Barone Corazza / (HQ) Conte
    lvl70 DRG/WAR
    STR+4 / 5
    Attack+13 / 15(HQ)
    Accucracy+8 / 10
    Enmity+2 / 3
    Regen
    Jump TP Bonus (5) / (6)

Now look at this. This piece of armor isn't as godly as the Adaman Hauberk for Warrior unless that Warrior is a career WAR/DRG, but it gives DRG, who lacks good gear, a set of armor that they can exceel with. Now the ore will have more value and people will want to fight Jorm for it so they can attempt to HQ for a piece of armor that would exceel. Now don't stop with this, improve the whole set. When making/improving armor its important that SE sees what they have already created... why create armor that only gives Accuracy+2 and Evasion+2, when there is Opitical Hat, Accuracy+10 Range Accuracy+10 Evasion+10 that is fairly easy to get.

Armor sets like Garish will never be used, but if SE were to put a +HP/MP on them, PLD, RDM, BLU, BRD, and maybe MNK would make good use of them. +10 HP on head, +15 HP/MP on body, +10 MP on hands, +8/8 HP and MP, ect. A strong set of armor for low levels.

Now that was all introduction to the question(s).

    SE.

Will you consider improving current items in the game, such as JSE, Relic, empty/weak low-level sets/pieces, or weak high-level sets/pieces similiar to what you did with daggers so that they should recieve use and the there would be greater customazation between players? Such a boost would make the sources of these items more vauble and make them profitable for crafters.

Will you consider the effort put into something to determine the reward? Hydra, Wyrms, Cerberus, all the jailers of Sea, and several other NMs are all tougher and rarer than the "Three Kings" are tougher than the kings, but their rewards are very poor compared to the effort put in.

Will you ever, at the risk of the life of this game, implement a system to replace Three Kings to instanced fights(with the same rarity of progression as it is now) where they stand, so that players of all calibers will have the chance to face these NMs? A system where you would get a item(much like Ouryu's Cloud Evoker) from other HNMs, BCNMs, and ENMs a trade to a spot where (a stronger) Behemoth spawned, and Behemoth sometimes drops something that will let you spawn King Behemoth. Maybe put 1 day retry timer on Behemoth and 1 conquest week retry on King Behemoth. Something as simple as that could return hundreds of players back to the game and let people really play this game to its fullest, still leaving Cerberus, Wyrms, and Hydra to be monsters that can be competed for and watch others fight.

Scorpion Brstplate, 45 def, [Fire]+9 Enhances "Resist Poison" effect Poison: Adds "Regen" effect

If you really want to use that boomerang there IS a way around the poison effect.

Speaking from the dragoon standpoint, we lack a really good str/acc/att/dex gear, like the royal knight's chainmail, hauberk, and similar items, except for the Hecatomb set, otherwise we mostly have +acc or +att armor sets, for the most part of course.

Will you consider the effort put into something to determine the reward? Hydra, Wyrms, Cerberus, all the jailers of Sea, and several other NMs are all tougher and rarer than the "Three Kings" are tougher than the kings, but their rewards are very poor compared to the effort put in.
I can't speak for all of the stuff, but doesn't the Jailor of Love drop the Love Torque? That gives dex+5, and dagger/polearmskill +7, granted, I don't know how tough it is, but even so, that seems pretty good to me.

I would not change any of the gears that give stat+ things (barone corraza for instance), but more low level +stat gear might be interesting, but not needed IMO. With the introduction of the new lvl 50ish gear (peti, and the Sipahi stuff) I think we have enough gear lvl 50+. Everything pre 50, is kinda debatable. The Eisen armor is just plain kickass for tanks up until lvl 40, merc captain stuff or noct gear is excellent for thiefs, and is easy to obtain, actually, alot of stuff pre lvl 50 is easy to obtain, it's at lvl 50+ that I normally start seeing high prices on gear.

What I think SHOULD happen, is at least make the lvl 99 KS fights against the similar HNM mobs (I know there is a behemoth fight, as well as a dragon fight at least) should drop the abjurations as well, or create new BCNM/KS fights that drop them. I would not replace the three kings to BCNM fights, but create new fights for the same items, namely abjurations, since you can now get things like a behemoth's tongue from other things.

You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be misqouted and then used against you.

I don't have a big ego, it just has a large mouth.

Re: The chaos that is gear

Here is where you are flawed.

        KS99 droping Abjurations:

This max all current KS pointless. Rather than depend it on KS, it is better to max a system that is depended on KS(among other things). Here for you is my idea of a flawless Kings system:

Step 0: The outsider area of Behemoth Dominion, the piece of Valley of Sorrows where Adamantoise spawns, and the pit part of Dragon's Aery will be sealed off by a rocks and a portal. Upon talking to this portal you can warped to the other side of these rocks, or an opposite exit(as Behemoth's Dominion). Behind these rocks is the same monsters as before... in which it is an BCNM not unlike Ouryu.

Step 1: Gainning Access to the PH Battle
Three items, lets call them Orbs, like BCNM orbs. "Behemoth Orb", "Adamantoise Orb", and "Fafnir Orb". Lets make these simple to get but hard/rare enough that everyone in the entire world can do this easily. ISNMs that came in this patch are an example of things being too easy to do. Here is the list of ways to optain the orbs above.
-Three Wyrms 100%. However the orbs shouldn't be the main attraction. These need a better treasure pool... mainly unsynth stuff. Revamping these wouldn't be a bad idea to strip how good SMNs are in these and how bad everyone else is in comparison.
-Original Beastmen Kings 100%. Each being matched up with one of the above. PS. These need to be stronger. Give them the ability to call over the True-Sight NMs that stand by it, also with a chance of linking with other Beastmen as they come to assist.
-Outlands Beastmen Kings 100%. Its about time they add these. Make harder and have better drops than their older editions.
-New HNMs 50%. Add in 6 new HNMs with toughness somewhere in range of Alastor Antlion and Nidhogg. Have these pop similar to Beastmen Kings. Allign two of them to a orb each. Have their own drops be unique and good. The drops can't be previous crafting supplies
-KSNM30. Three orbs, each with 5 battles, at least 3 of which are ignored. Pick the three ignored ones and put these as a chance to drop.
-KSNM99. Has a higher chance of dropping them.
-ENM. Not sure where to put what, but let the uncap ones give a small chance to drop them.

Okay you get the orb. Now NM wise, each orb is dropping 3-5 times a week. However a deticated group could get more through ENMs and KSNMs.

        Step 2: The PH Battle

18-man, 30 minute battles. Obviously Behemoth and Adamantoise are going to be too weak, but Fafnir scales nicely in this condition. Like Promathia, if all players are dead, even for an instant, you are instant booted.

Make Behemoth as strong as King Behemoth, but with a potent magic resistance against spells save Earth element. Make him run faster as his health drops. At 10%, he runs at flee speed. Let him cast Meteor(less potent). Thunderbolt's stun duration should be made more barable to suit this situation. Turn the Elementals that have a chance of spawning during Thunder weather become IT.

Adamantoise should turned into Aspidochlenon(misspelled for sure, will just refer to as Aspid for now on). Let him cast Break, Breakga, and high tier water spells. When he goes into his shell, make skillchains(with magic burst) be the most effective way to get him out. Have mothers link with him, but not the other way around. Pulling him will require clearing a ton of links or time being spent clearing a pulling path.

Fafnir could maybe use the magic resistance given to Behemoth(in which only water magic would be a useful source of damage), but with Fafnir actually giving some challenge compared to Behemoth(or even King Behemoth), it might not be needed. Since this is a fantasy concept, I'll let you decide.

Take Fafnir abjuration drops and split them up. Take Ridil away from Fafnir(to be given to Nidhogg). Take Aspid drops and give them to Adamantoise. Give them some new and good drops. Behemoth and Adamantoise would require about 2 new drops and Fafnir 1. Give Nidhogg Scales a synth.

Now here is the good part: Each NQ drops a new item, similar to the orbs. Lets call them "Fafnir's Blood", "Behemoth's Tail", and "Adamantoise's Tooth". These drops have an 70% chance of dropping, so it drops most of the time. These items will be required in the progression.

Tier 1 fights(these) can be done once every 21 hours. HNM LS that are hardcore can claim a good amount of HNMs and have two groups of 18 to do these twice in one day or multiple times in a week.

You get to pick when you fight these monsters and honestly are not too hard to get(although rare) for high-level social LSs with 25 members at best, but no chance on succeeding into becoming an end-game LS.

The fact that 15 HNMs can supply someone with King fight, none having a chance to pop on Maint day and none popping on a predictable day, pretty kills situations that mimic Aery. It no longer becomes about which LS has the best bots, but the most active LS. Since the battles could be considered tough for idiots who take 1 hour to kill Kirin(ever get stuck in line behind those, ughhhh), it also sets a standard of skill. Which plays an even more important role in the next tier.

The lack of instances might cause a problem such as a LS is doing while you are waiting, however the fact these aren't just being thrown at you, its not likely to happen on most situations. Well worth the sacrifice of disposing the system of 100+ people standing in one area botting to get a chance at drops. SE wants us to be a happy community, but how is that possible when your progression is based on stopping the progression of others.

        Step 3: HQ Fights

These should be hard. Hard enough to scare away the kind of people I said above and hard enough to make people who has killed HQ 1000s times bit their tonque and even wipe on a bad day. Each HQ would have the ability of the NQs above. 45 minutes

King Behemoth should summon a IT Thunder Elemental named "Thunderbolt" everytime he uses the move. When these Thunderbolts are out and about, he takes 0 damage. He should run at flee speed from the start. Thunder magic gains him health and Earth magic is still the best way to hurt him. Give him high evasion, but not too high evasion. A Melee with good accuracy gear should be able to hit him, while one with shitty gear should not. Same deal with BLM. A shitty BLM or a BLM completely focused on damage should be getting heavy resists. The fact you can't simply kite, nuke, go afk, nuke, and win will be refreshing to people seeking a challenge.

Aspid. Aspid was named after a legend about a giant turtle who sailor would think is an island and land. They would set a fire there, waking the turtle, causing it to sink into the ocean, drowing them all. So here is the deal, to Aspids hiding move, give everyone in the battlefield a Drown effect of 50-100 HP(it can be resisted with high vs Water gear) a tick. Getting him out of the shell now becomes a race against time, or everyone dies. Mind you, the best way to get him out would be using SCs and MBs. Manaburing or meleeburing his shell will just leave almost everyone or everyone dead, then getting kicked out of the BC. On top of this, give him more MAB so his high tier water spells hurt. Added on with the possible links, you have a fight that is actually challenging.

Nidhogg. Scales rather nicely, but still needs to be tougher. Nidhogg has always been the strongest, so its fair to let him remain the toughest. With Behemoth you have a damage powerhouse and with Aspid you have a NM with a chance of wiping your alliance if you don't have enough damage. Nidhogg needs a new gimmick. Everyone time it uses Huricane Wing, a small wyvern(as in DRG's pet) will appear. These 'wyrmlings' would be completely immune to magic(magical, as in Chi Blast included), hit decently hard and have low health(1000ish). Their breath could be hard to deal with, so its a priority to take them out fast. It would be the opposite of Behemoth's elementals, as elementals are killable by BLM and SMN(and BLU... if they fixed their magic damage spells), and these would be killiable by melee. Name them after other the other serpents who tried to destroy World Tree in Norse mythology(http://www.pantheon.org/articles/n/nidhogg.html).

As for drops, give Nidhogg Ridil and 2-3 other good items. Give King Behemoth a Ridilspear named after the Spear of Destiny, or as its known in most game, Longinus and Thornlet(modeled after the Ballista Royale Champions' rose crown) which would have MP+50 Cure Potency+5% and something like "Dealt Damage: Poison" similar to Weskit. Give Adamantoise all new drops... a really kick ass melee sipar(Attack+20, latent: STR+5. Latent being 0 TP), a very powerful tanking shield, and 2 things that mages would want(a strong belt slot for BLM and RDM and maybe a second ring with Avatar Prep-1).

You can't just zerg them or anything of the such. All 18 people will need to know what to do at all times, and ect.

There a perfect system in which the end-game can be based on. Two tiers of fight with unique drops each and abjurations people are dying for. No standing around the aery botting at 3am. No CFH'd King Behemoths. If anyone thinks a system like this is going to let someone max out, think again. Ignoring the fact people can have mutliple jobs to max out, there is simply too many people in the LS to max out in a short amount of time. "But what about the people who camped these HNMs for 3 years and are maxed out", well now they have new drops, and after so-and-so gets his BST to 75, he'll want his Ebody too.

With this system in mind, it isn't hard to see that Wyrms could drop abjurations too along with their new drops. Make a bunch of current synthed (JSE) armor better, like Barone. Make what the Wyrms drop now better, make them drop more different things. Make their drop rate better. For Cerberus, give Cerberus Meat a synth that blow any STR food out of the water. Give Behemoth Leather a synth(lol). Make current Cerberus items better. Make more Cerberus item synths. Hydra, same deal, especially with the Hydra armor.

Dynamis fix is simple: Add melee skill to the useless pieces of the melee sets(and some mage sets even), make CoP Dynamis longer, make CoP Dynamis drop more, and change on Relic-1 works. It should be: 1) Relic-1 + 10-15 currency = Relic, or 2) Relic-1 + Relic = Relic. There, another area of the game fixed.

The drops from Diabolos Prime fight could use a big boost. Waking the Beast(long quest series that requires fighting the 6 avatars in harder fights and then 1 more decently challenging fight) rewards are as follows: a weapon named after the avatar that has a small chance of dropping. These weapons are decent are best, but they have good latents. The latents are activated when they have an avatar out, so like never. SE wants Summons to melee, well how about this: when someone in your party/alliance(including yourself) has the weapon equiped, the matching avatar costs you -2. However, don't let it stack with more than one weapon. To make things even better, give the same effect to the lesser weapons, but only -1(and not stacking).

Sea needs to not be so much work. As it is, its insane. The torques are nice, when they drop. Some LSes are 0/20 on them. The progression is insane. You have a decent, sometimes small chance on the tier 1 NMs dropping the piece that lets you continue. Then the tier 2 monsters are the same damn thing. Tier 3 is Jailer of Love which is probably the only NM there worth fighting, but fighting it sucks, you can go just to sleep nuking/BPing it. Absolute Virtue... well... people have tried everything, but it doesn't seem to make sense. When it does, its some glitch. Either kill all the previous NMs in Sea or Jailer weapons or killing Wynavs... something needs to lock its 2hrs and spells. To fix sea? Easy, give Jailers "Jailer" organs that can be traded in along with a piece of crafted armor that can't be worn(similar to a cursed set) in the "Name of Science" quest. Each Jailer organ can be used for three different pieces of equipment. Have the equipment replace all AF that is still worn by level 75, strength job abilities(like AF and Relic), and give unique traits not seen on other armor.

Does SE knows how much money they could make if they do the things above? Constant and user friendly base for good loot + HNMs that are not camped until they pop + rewards for doing different and new things = profit. Its like, you think to yourself. They want people to quit? SE, do you want people to quit? You will make money for people who won't stop playing 1 year after hitting 75 and you will make money from people coming back into the game. There, I just fixed the biggest problem in the game... should I take a crack on Other activites being ignored(PvP), RMT, and job unbalance?

i don't think Hecatomb Harness is usable outside a WS because of the HIGH slow it gives that no other heavier gear would give (Adaman Hauberk for example), take off the slow , let ppl use it full time....?
i agree with you about the gear changes, some gear are hard to get and still other easy EX gear is better than them (Barone Corazza & Assault Jerkin)

Re: The chaos that is gear

Legal Fish, if you want an easier game that takes less effort, you know where to find it; it's called World of Warcraft. I'd like to see the kings reformed, but a lot of your post is just excessive whining.

The only fix Dynamis needs is the ability to trade in useless drops (especially weapons) for Dynamis currency, which would relieve the permanent currency crunch and put the focus of weapon upgrading on the animated weapons where it belongs. The kings battles don't really need to be changed, just the method of popping them. It would be nice to see some new HNM fights, but you might as well make them *new* HNM fights (which are probably already in development anyway).

Sea is fine; if you don't like it, don't do it. There's plenty of other stuff to do anyway. Ditto Waking the Beast. Ditto CoP wyrms (you can hardly complain that Fafnir/Behemoth are overcamped because their drops are too good *and* complain that CoP wyrms' drops aren't good enough because they're not autoclaimed in 1 second.)

Making every new drop better than the best previously existing drop would create massive gear inflation and screw up content as well as making a new 75 horribly gimp compared to a 75 in the latest gear (right now there is certainly a difference but it's not so big that the new 75 can't contribute to a fight; heck, even 70s are still useful in most fights, which is nice). If you want a game where your character is defined by your gear, you know where to find that, too.

You don't mention Limbus and the existing KSNMs, ENMs and ISNMs, which are all fine (IMO).

If you want something easy to do, I suggest Assault. (Well, except for Lebros Supplies.) It's clearly designed to require low investment: there's very little restriction on when you can do it, it doesn't take long, the requirements on what kind of party you need are pretty loose, most of them can be won 90%+ if you know what you're doing. And with every win you are guaranteed to make measurable progress toward some loot; the randomness of the drop system is almost entirely eliminated. You're also guaranteed progress toward rank ups with every win, too.

If all of that is not enough to keep you occupied in game *and* you don't want to try a new job (and you have completed all missions and quests like The Last Verse)... then I don't know what to say.
Defeated: Maat, Divine Might, Fenrir, Kirin, Cactrot Rapido, Xolotl, Diabolos Prime, Kurrea, 9/10 Dynamis Bosses (missing Tav), Promathia, Proto-Ultima, Proto-Omega, 4 Jailers, Apocalypse Nigh, 6/6 Nyzul Bosses

Re: The chaos that is gear

I do agree with him on one thing: The drops that come from tougher mobs than the "Three Kings", often come nowhere close to being worth what those same three drop. I don't mind so much the difficulty involved in obtaining them; it should be hard(except for CoP expansion... that's just ridiculous). Even the Relics. I just agree that there should be a another look taken at the effort/reward ratio.

Re: The chaos that is gear

Don't know most of the post seems wanting to push Stats of STR, DEX, AGI, VIT, MND, INT, and CHR very high. This makes no sense.

It's idiotic to put out gear that raises those to such extreemes, main reason being is that those stats are multi-purpose. Each 1 affects more then 1 thing. It's like asking "Magic: The Gathering" to make all their lands support 2-3 types of mana and while they are at it reduce the cost of their Legendary cards.

That's just insaine and breaks the game. If any have seriously focused on the gear in this game the gear is designed for you to focus on what you want out of it. I've calculated gear sets that would produce about:

                DEF: +230
                ATT: +300
                Evasion: +100
                Accuracy: +200
                Rng. Att: +250
                Rng. Acc: +150

                and so on..

This makes sense and follows exactly the same stragedy idea that magic cards do but in gear form. In which you decide what you want your gear to do and focus the gear to achieving just that. Otherwise you are being to scattered brained and greedy in wanting the character to do everything. That kind of a rediculous request to be asking for.

Re: The chaos that is gear

id like to make a small add-on point of view. why is it that most of the drg spears that share traits with other weapons (love halberd, gondo-iforgetthispart, stone-splitter) are all shared with sam and turned into spears making the hidden effects/crit rate/ double attacks not that good compared to a lance which is piercing damage and high damage but slower

edit: why is it love halberd/love torque are some of the hardest things to get ingame atm D:

Re: The chaos that is gear

I don't know about game-breaking, but I think at least one or two drops you get from Absolute Virtue or Bahamut or some such should be at least equal or greater in benefit, and worth, than what drops from Nidhogg, Aspidochelone, and King Behemoth. The benefit of the treasure gained from the former NMs is far outshadowed by those NM's difficulty, and even more greatly outstripped by the benefits of the rewards from the latter NMs.

I mean, come on. Aureole is nice, but is it worth near as much as a Dalmatica or Crimson mail? And Raphael's rod... the biggest fucking joke ever. To think someone would seriously take on AV for just the possibility of a RR3 item with finite charges... it boils my blood. And we won't even go into Bahamut's drops. Just lol.

Re: The chaos that is gear

This sort of idea has already been discussed with SE during an interview earlier this year. What youve posted has was given to them in questions regarding why nothing better than Kings drops has been released and why SE has not made the Kings drops into KS99 or instanced fights to avoid the growing overcrowded problem with these camps.

I am glad that the word is spreading for this to change though. I hope your questions contribute to making SE recognized the need for rethinking the current endgame rewards.

Really, don't bother. I read her post and vomited a bit. OMG, YOU MEAN I HAVE TO FIGHT HARDER MONSTERS FOR BETTER GEAR? THATS SO EASY. BOTTING IS ABOUT SKILL. STOP MAKING THIS GAME LIKE WoW, BOTS AND BAD ARMOR ARE THE BEST. Er, yeah.

I Agree with what alot of Macht said, I'm not a gear whore per say an dI dont think once piece of gear should be so godly as to overwrite other options.
As a SMN I focous on Boosting MP>MP regen>Perpetuation>-BP cost.. because thats what I want.
As a Blu I focus on Str>Speed>Accuracy>damage because of my Playstyle..
Theres enough current gear out there to do that Without Camping HNM, something I deplore with every cell of my being.

But I digress, There should be boosts to existing sets to scale with the level and with the expansions out there. But nothing to godly.
