Does SE have any plans to patch programming holes in windowed mode (mainly referring to the ability to make a 'homemade' speedhack with your system clock) and making an official windowing function, to replace the extremely popular Archbell windower?

And if not, what is SE's opinion on the Windower, with and without "Plugins"?

Damn Feba... you did it too.

I just read 2 (or 3?) "questions" to SE about windower and they all start with an insult!

We really need to form a question that doesn't start off mentioning "bad programming technique" or "patch programming holes" if we want to be taken seriously and get a legitamite response

      Uh, that is serious.

If you can speedhack with your system clock, that's a mighty freaking huge hole.

        Right but it's like

Nevermind. I just spent 5 minutes trying to come up with a good example applied to real life applications... but... If you can't see why that question won't get a decent response then it's your deal...

It's not as bad as the others though, but if you're forming a windower question, it should be like....

QUESTION ABOUT WINDOWER HERE, then perhaps also I don't know if SE is aware but blah blah causes hacks on the user side blah balh.

You don't want to insult them with your question, is all..

It's not insulting, it's stating a fact, and a concern. It would be extremely stupid to release an official windower without diong something to prevent that.

            Re: Official Windowing

Since 'Windowed mode' is not official and a 3rd party app against the ToS, why would SE fix what would more likely be someone else's errors.

When you change things beyond their intended purpose, unanticipated errors have a tendency to occur. The problem is already fixed by not allowing the game to be Windowed.

Mhurron, I know you just like starting shit for the sake of starting shit, just stop already, some people have legitimate things to say.

Since your question is about fixing an apparent problem that comes up when the game is run in Windowed mode, something it is not made to do on its own, you are asking SE to fix a problem someone else caused. A problem that is already solved by not allowing windowed mode.

                You asked -
Will SE fix the problems caused by someone external to SE by violating the ToS *and* Will SE introduce their own windower. They are separate questions.

Someone disagreeing with you is not 'starting shit.'

                  Re: Official Windowing

Those aren't seperate questions. The first is just a pre-requisate for the second.

It's like asking a buddy if "they plan on fixing their bike and taking it for a spin", it's one question, not two.

The second question would be "And if not, what is SE's opinion on the Windower, with and without "Plugins"?"

Mhurron, you are grossly misinterpreting his question.

Feba you are grossly misintepreting Mhurrons's problem with your question.

The problem is that feba's question is worded in a manner that could be confusing.
