    Re: Any questions for SE?

Being as with my day job, and being a Part time firefighter, occasionally I have t suddenly leave groups my quetion would be....

    Q. Will their be any help for players who can't afford the time to fight in parties to level up solo more easily?

      Re: Any questions for SE?

Q: What are your plans to deal with the impending rise in the number of SMN, due to the magic damage reduction on NM (HNM in specific)? Level 70 blood pacts seem like they will be the main source of damage on most HNM now.
(Please don't nerf level 70 blood pacts again...)

Q: Are there any plans on increasing avatar melee damage on monsters higher level than the SMN? Currently low level SMN have a difficult time doing any damage, forcing them into a healing role in parties, just to be efficient.
That sort of relates to Medalink's question.

Q: Why are katar type hand to hand weapons blunt? They're giant blades that you punch things with.
This question has driven me nuts.

        Re: Any questions for SE?

Will they give an attack bonus trait for thieves? Cause unless serious atk gear is equipped and/or drg or war is subbed... thf melee in most exp is pitaful. Give theif more access to trial weapons like swords and Hand-to-Hand? Or possibly a Trail Evasion Bonus? As for White Mage, how about a Divine Casting trait, which acts like Converse MP but only for spells that are Divine Magic? Maybe a series of Various Trail Skills for various jobs that don't work in the ways of merits? And maybe a scythe for whm that's like rare/ex?

There is even less reason for WHM to get Scythe than there was for BLM to get it.

Q: Are there any new kinds of Conflict coming out in ToAU?

Q: A while back, you adjusted multi-hit weaponskills in Ballista and Brenner to do less damage, so that mages could survive weaponskills. Are you going to do the same thing to Blue Magic that hits multiple times? (Getting one-shotted by Frentic Rip = not fun)

Q: How rare are you planning on making colored chocobos? Can you expect at least half or more of the playerbase to get a chocobo that isn't yellow at some point, or will they be more rare than that?

I would find it vagely amusing if they installed one in Mhaura but not Valkurm though. I mean, not full-on laughing, but at least a chuckle.

I think you guys are doing fine with the questions, so I don't really have anything to add.

You could eventually obtain the best equipment for your level, but so could everyone else. Competetion would just be limited to who gets it quicker by selling/buying from NPCs. To some people, that would become boring very fast if everyone can be equally powerful/mediocre given enough time.

Either everyone has everything, or there will be at least one person that has something others don't/can't have. Either way, someone is not going to be happy with the system.
Assault was dead on in terms of a better way to be earning out equipment, except I don't think it's as expansive as it could be. I havn't done many of them, but the ones that I have done seem to be rather simple in terms of goals. They were pretty lack luster.

Imagine if CoP missions were broken down into Assault style missions where you could earn points for completing them. Then there could be two or three repeatable missions, ever four or five normal missions, that contribute to some sort of over-plot goal so that they wouldn't stop making sense after completing further missions. Players of all levels, starting at thirty I suppose, would have an opportunity to earn the equipment, instead of Assault being almost always at a cap you don't have equipment for.

                    I have one question.

Why don't they listen to Order of the Blue Gartr forums (and only Order of the Blue Gartr forums)? They want to make a better game right? They do know Alla is now owned by a GS site?

I'm just saying that cause DRK gets some H2H weapons yet their skill is from sub only, SAM get's sheild skill from sub only, so why not let WHM get some equip?

Also another question - Flee spells for whm or rdm? and not as high as Chocobo Mazukra?

Probably because a lot of the people there have a difficult time getting their points across without being condescending assholes.

                        Just a thought.

                          Re: Any questions for SE?

Not everyone there is all about end-game. If you look closely you will find a lot of people(people with high post count) who care about the storyline, low-level play, content for all levels, and just about anything you would fine here or anywhere else, but backed by experience, debating, and testing. If you took the good aspects of this site(or any low-level site) + elitism + ytmnd style humor + a lot more experiece in the game. While it is full of cusses, drama, and assholes and is very closed off to anyone below level 75, it is the Athens of FFXI community and if anyone can direct SE in the right direction it is BG forums.

That being said, this site and any other site is just dandy, for guiding new players and information and all the stuff forums are used for, however like I said, BG forums should be the only forum guiding SE, or otherwise you gets posts like "Let WHM use Scythe".

~.~ perhaps i should rephrase "Let WHM use Scythe." Like an event/quested one? Like the wooden/lotus katanas and pitchforks?

I can't think of a single reason for a WHM to use a scythe. Except in the case that you mentioned, with a level 1 all jobs item.

WHM get a lot of toys tossed at them, honestly. Hexa Strike is a prime example of that. So is the WHM haubergeon. Blessed Breadplate/Shield. ...Blessed gear in general. (WHM already had a high level JSE, noble gear.) Hammers themselves even, they're WHM only toys. I honestly don't think they need any more.

Q: Are there any plans on dealing with RMT crafters?
Of course, you could just remove the word "crafters" from that and the question would work too.

Q: Will COR get any new guns to add to their currently lack-luster arsenal?
