    I have gathered together 100 signatures over the past day who all think the Activate recast is redicolous and excluding PUP from endgame events, Conflict, and CoP.


    Many people bring up "Dragoon has twenty minute recast, too, deal with it"

    The Automaton is the job definition of PUP. If it dies early on, you'll be waiting 20 minutes to become useful again. And let me tell you, this is NOT uncommon.

    Summoner and Beastmasters have 1 minute/5 minute recasts, so this change is not game breaking in any way. Puppetmaster has come a long way, and this one simple and easy change will allow Puppetmaster to participate in endgame type events they originally were excluded from, including Ballista(PvP) CoP missions, and Dynamis/Eihnjahr

    On behalf of all the Puppetmaster SE, I propose an Activate recast lower, please SE.

        At least there's only one question and it's in the thread title.

        But - we don't like the same thread being posted in multiple forums. Please choose which forum you want your thread to exist in so I can close the other one.

            As Kafeen said, how is this any different from dragoon?

            As I understand it, your Automaton has more hp and defense than a wyvern, in addition, you have attachments that make it cast a pretty potent Stoneskin from what I hear, you have various Oils that give potent +hp +regen effects. You also have different frames to choose from, although granted it that may not be optional if event X requires a ranger puppet while for puppet longlevity you'd want a whm puppet.

            But still, you have options to heal your puppet, can anyone tell us how viable these options are though?

            Because for instance, drg wise, I can rest in Signet zones without losing TP to heal my wyvern, I can avoid some damage with Super Jump, I have Spirit Link (almost never use it though) and of course I have Call Wyvern. Even vs ~ga elemental spells and nasty Poisonga II spells it is pretty easy to keep my wyvern alive *without* using Spirit Link.

              I agree that a 20min recast timer for activate is way too long(anything more than 5 min kills the usefulness of pup-at least in my view)(5 min is more than enough time-such as smn 5 min re-summon timer)

                DRG is like BST, the pet is a large portion of their job but they can funciton decently without it. PUP is like Summoner, the pet IS the job. No pet, no invite.

                  i believe the recast timer is there to encourage trying to keep the puppet alive, using shock absorber,replicator etc of the defensive attachments but i agree that 20 minute is extreme for puppetmaster since the puppet is the definition of the job.
                  it's different than dragoon because drg have A+ skill in polearm and can still perform well without the wyvern (unless he's /mage healing, then he better stay with the mages out of aoe >.>) while pup with their C skill h2h can't perform any good without their puppet.
                  what maybe better for pup isn't lowering "Activate" recast alone, but also allowing "Role Reversal" at low levels not restricting it to merits or allowing them to use "Spirit link" through /DRG.

                      Neither do I. That's why the thread is different. One thread was asking for signatures, preparing to show SE. The other is, actually, showing SE, that we PUPs want this lowering of the recast, and feel it is very necessary.

                      The ability that defines our job has waaaay too high a recast.

                      To the people who are willing to make sure this idea does not happen(Read : Feba), I ask you, why do you really care? Do you want PUP to not participate in endgame that badly?
