  • Will SE implement <tnl> <exp> codes?

We are pretty familiar with advance commands in macros and the ability for them to be auto updated by the system. We should have commands that enable us to "search" better. I am always starting my /sea comments with @2,000 instead of having an auto updated one with the suggested <tnl> (to next level).

I propose SE add additional commands into their abundant commands that should have been in the game from DAY 1.

<tnl> = basically just subtracts your next level exp from your current exp to return your "to next level" exp

<exp> = your current exp that you are at

Easy commands that people can implement into their macros or chat are.

I have often wondered about the <tnl> one, I remember in a party where we were all certain SE must have made a tnl command, and were trying all sorts of combinations!

The others i'm unsure of their use, but SE really should add tnl at least.

Oh, and just to be anal, they can't enable if if they don't already have it in the code =p

            <region> and <map> seem a bit extraneous.

            <tnl> would be awesome though.

I don't think that they'd really do <map>, seeing as as longa syou know the map you're on...which you should, you can just type Tah{tab} or Cae{tab}. Region is the same thing, but more cause most people don't care which region you're in, mainly the map.

<tnl> ftw! If they added that, it'd be really helpful. It'd make seeking on lowbie jobs much easier, cause your exp changes so much that setting a seacom is almost useless imo(depens on how much info you put in there though).

Thanks to Roguewolf for the sig. :D

The purpose of <map> and <region> is when your dead, they will see where you are along with the <pos> because they auto update in the search. But I see that it is kinda frivolous to include that in.

If the mod will allow the the deletion of <map> and <region> from my title post as well as <cexp> to <exp>, Much would be appreciated. But I do agree that <tnl> SHOULD TO BE IMPLEMENTED.

Um, i've seen absolutely NOTHING to suggest that TNL is in game. Those third party programs do it by reading the memory for your EXP, not some mystery value.

And again, enable is inaccurate unless it's in game, but *dis*abled.

i think he ment sure they can put it in the game, like utusi: san but san is not enabled to the players. So if you want them to ENABLE it then if its not in game they would have to add it first to enable it.

                        set <tnl> = <next level exp> - <current exp>
                        set <exp> = <current exp>

Is it that hard? There, code's done.

Actually omni, you should keep up better, I reactivated a few weeks ago. Haven't decided weither to stay or not, leaning towards no, but the point is, I have an active content ID, so I see no reason to leave an FFXI forum.

                          Secondly, you said
So thusly, I want it enabled. It's already coded in there.
. I was joking about the fact that enabled is incorrect, but when you said that, I had to point out that third party tools are reading EXP memory, not some mystical <tnl> command SE randomly decided to deactivate.
