Starting Over

Hi everyone. I am starting over in Vana'Diel because I realized that I hated Windurst and my character in general. Anyways, a couple questions.
1-What is the best server IN YOUR OPINION. You don't have to say Bahamut, which seems to be the most popular.
2-Which nation is better in your option: Bastok or Sandy?
3-Starting job? Your opinion, once again.

1) Not too sure. it depends on your timezone.

2) What do you like more? Steampunk Desert or Old School FF town? Go for the one you like the most.

3) The one you find the most fun.

2. I think I liked the Windurst nation storyline the best, so I'd say Windurst. But, it's not like you cannot switch nation later and experience ALL the nation stories, so it makes little difference.

3. If the current FFXI resembles at all what I remembered, I'd say White Mage.

Until you get Dancer for support job, a little MP based curing power can't hurt--especially since you're likely to be soloing until you can get to Abyssea (and a group to help you level in there).

Thanks guys. I ended up doing a Monk in Bastok, on Odin, and so far it is quite fun. Love walking up and punching stuff to death.
