The Destrier Beret is a great item. The move speed bonus alone makes it worth it nevermind it giving a skill up bonus and Auto Reraise.

The shirt? Not so much since Jack O lanterns do the same thing for less (and you don't lose your chest slot) and at that level, Magic Acc isn't really that important a stat

Aside from using the shirt towards Rune Fencer and Geomancer... I have already advanced all my jobs beyond the range that either of these could possibly be useful for. That being said... I'm calling in a favor from my buddy who works at Gamestop. He's cracking open one of those boxes and giving me the code for that fucking shirt. I NEED IT. I MUST HAVE IT. We'll call it... damaged goods on arrival... not suitable for sale.

That kind of stuff "happens" all the time. Who knew.

I say again, stupid SE not making the PC version available as a retail disc.


Normally I don't have an issue with digital distirbution, but.... no. Not downloading 20+ GB of game data + updates patches. Fuck THAT noise.

Yeah so just a head's up: SE is advertising this (sorta, it's not on the front page for some dumb reason) right now at half price. Yep, only $20 instead of $40 for the collection.


But there are 2 critical snags that I hit and I'm currently waiting for SE to get back to me on them (and they both involve the same item).

1) You can't get the Music Box Adventures item, as it's apparently out of stock and so you have to remove it from the order (how the fuck you run out of a digital download is beyond me).

2) You literally can not remove said item from the bill. That's right, there's no icon to remove it from your order. So, my order for the collection is in limbo atm and I swear to God if SE bills me or I lose out on that deal, I will rage. I hope someone's making a big stink over this on the official XI forums because this is kind of a big fuckup on their end.

I should see about moving that item over to another character. Honestly, it should be tied to your SE account at this point, as should the Destier hat/shirt.

Is this another attempt at SE trying to do something nice to get old players back? The shirt....is...meh at best. That shirt is so bland it's not even funny. At least put a fucking Chocobo on the front of the damn thing to make it look appealing. I'm still waiting on the Beta for PS3, but from the looks of it, I won't be seeing that anytime soon, so my hopes for XIV are slowly waning and I might be pulled back into 11 once again. -_- I reaaaalllly don't want to have to do this shit again.


@Mal Please tell me you didn't go in expecting a staff from SE to actually help you. I get more feedback from Xbox Live Support, at least they have real people.
