at the going rate back then I could have purchased 1million gil from an RMT for around $7.50, saved myself $2.50 and 27-30 days out of my month.

let's not even bring RMT into the discussion because I would never do it and I dont think you would either, lol... So $9 extra a month, which is 4 coffees (LOL,) is nothinig for legitimately making a million in gil for 1 hour play time a month. if you like farming then cool, have at it. but when there was SO MUCH to do in game, farming was not something I enjoyed. I'd rather spend my in game time doing mission, parties, static with friends, campaigning, ToA, assaults, nyzul, NM hunting, sky, sea, helping friends, etc... i guess what i'm getting at is our two different approaches to making the gil, you like to pay less and work harder for it, i dont mind paying $9 a month and working alot less harder for it. not one is better, its what you prefer to do ingame. but there's no need to scoff at my method, you just prefered spending alot more time ingame farming which is ok.

That's cute... 1mil/month. Even back in the day if I worked hard at it I could make 1 mil farming in a few days.

How am I not surprised that you have the support of the mathematician?

This amuses me, considering it's not at all what I went to school for. But for whatever it's worth I doubt the Moogle's RNG is truly random.

The fact that I have yet to see an English speaking player win the Rank 1 prize leads me to believe that the system is plagued with an inherent bias.

I actually would love to come to Cerb but nobody here really knows what the EU Playerbase is like, or if playing at EU times is plausible. Most EU players are all over the place so it is hard to find out how many EU players area actually on at a given time.

1200ish people on as we speak and its EUish prime right? Can't tell you how many of those are mules or afk though.

Yeah it is hard to filter out the NA/JP Players, Bots, Mules or people just AFK while at school/work.

I might go poke around on some forums to see if I can get more information, especially with Yyg playing again, he is always fun to play with.
