I tried keeping up haste on people in the disorganized roaming abyssea parties when I first got there, but eventually I just sort of gave up on keeping a haste cycle outside of smaller parties or events. It's just not the same dynamic as the old six man parties, which I still kind of prefer. There's something very zen about everyone hitting their mark at all the right paces and the party grinding away like a well oiled machine. You don't get that in abyssea alliances, what you get is a spastic mess.

But yeah, when I'm actually in an organized party I made it a point to keep everyone hasted. Sometimes even the mages, because RECAST TIMERS DAMMIT!

Shouldn't Mages be Hasting themselves for that, though? And for that matter, helping you Haste? \:|

I'd still rather find somebody who loves their Summoner to Hastega, in all honesty. But in loosely organized LS events where none is available, I drop a Haste on useful people every now and again, though I'm rather terrible at keeping track of that sort of thing.

I hate Hastega. It doesn't last as long as mine, yet it overrides it. It's simply more efficient for me to do it than a SMN.

This. It's easy to keep a Haste cycle on three people plus yourself. There's really no use in giving Haste to the 72SAM with nothing but a GK.

i ended with all my main jobs listed in my sig fully maxed with maxed gear (besides mythic or the other weapon you had to grind to get) from sea, sky, ToA, and CoP. It was so much fun... My blm, rdm, thf, and sam were the most fun for me to play. In my static Nyzul group, my cor was bad ass though. I had a TP +ACC setup and i dual wielded joy-toy and mercurial kris. i never stopped attacking and built TP twice as fast as anyone else. I'd then switch to a +RACC gear setup for slug shot, then switch back to TP some more, all while keeping rolls up obviously. Was way fun. And my static all got all the Nyzul gear we wanted. I ended up with like 2-4 pieces of each set plus the weapons.

Whenever I play a mage I warn everybody in advance. If you run away whilst I'm casting I will NOT follow you around the zone.
sometimes people dont see so i let them off the first few times. Even though i think its odd because if you're not engaged then your target changes to whom is casting upon you.
After that I'd slowly watch you die until you ask me why and I'll proceed to ask why you keep running out of range when you know I'm casting on you.

I'm also known for being ruthless to my Ls, When a fight is about to happen and I'm asked to attend I'll always say yes, But they know to only ask me once everybody is pretty much standing at the maw. I see it as only fair considering its 2/3am on my side, Otherwise I'll continue with what I'm doing and log off when I'm tired, Not that my presence makes or breaks a team, But I wouldn't dream of asking the Ls for assistance if I didn't have everything prepared beforehand.

First of all, when I said "somebody who loves their Summoner," I'd have hoped that it would be implied that the duration thing would be a non-issue.

Even that aside, however, how the crap is chicken-peck Hasting everybody one at a time more efficient than just simply getting everybody done at once? Human error alone would make the Summoner more efficient. Crap, they don't even have a "cycle" to keep! It's just, "oh, everybody isn't Hasted any more? HERE, EVERYBODY IS HASTED AGAIN."

People move around, it's not feasible to hit everyone in one go with Hastega, so you either cast it multiple times or someone inevitably ends up going without. That's to say nothing of the fact that properly geared RDM's haste lasts close to 5 minutes instead of the standard 3.

Also, I wouldn't think it difficult to Hastega everyone when they're all wailing on one particular thing. (And if you mention Mages, I'll reiterate that they should be Hasting themselves, if not helping you Haste.)

Melee are retarded and will run from your buffs. After playing WHM and RDM at endgame for many years, this is one of the first things I learned. Any AoE buff was an exercise in futility because you can't get them to stand still long enough. If I had a dollar for every time one of my melee was like, "WAAHHHH I DIDN'T GET SHELLRA V," well, I'd have a lot of extra dollars.

Also I know that my summoning skill was horribly underleveled so my Haste lasted like twelve seconds. Skilling up summoning skill was one of the most painful experiences in the game. And after many years of playing a busy mage (first red, than white), I got used to the cycles and always being busy, so if someone else was Hasting I was most likely bored.

I just stop buffing and healing melee classes that can't stay in range. Yes even kiters that are too stupid to at least bring the mob towards you for heals and pullers too stupid to use defensive abilities before the melee can peel the mob.

I was once in a cleave group where even the fucking cleaver kept running away...

I swore I say a thread title something like "DRK a new sub for two handers" or something along those lines? I can not find it and was wondering about it, had something to do with the next job adjustments or so it sounded.
