I know the feeling, but suffice to say this expansion pack is scheduled for 2013 and by then maybe they'll have done enough changes to warrant the game another chance.

talk me out of going back to FFXI
The game mechanics will still be horrible, getting anything will always be a grind and going back will be pointless if other people don't play with you.

        Yeah, going back right now and crashing into the old walls that are still there doesn't sound like fun somehow. <_<;

Then he was ready to let you kill him to make amends, and he had real issues like committing genocide on his own people.

Prishe made you chase her all over the world without telling you what she's up to and gambled the fate of the world without having a plan.

But more importantly the Emptyness was still eating away at Tenzin's homeland and top of that civil war was breaking out because of drought and famine. Add to that the whole Phoenix thing and there was real potential for a storyline there. I would've preferred that to the alternate universe comic book nonsense of Abyssea.

Yeah, funny how doing that would have just caused Abyssea to happen in our own realm as well

Also, with regards to Phoenix, didn't they literally sacrifice an entire town just to restore that little bit of power to Her within the blade?!

I didn't play Abyssea, but I thought that was basically what happened if you lost to Promathia on the last battle? If Tenzen got away with killing you Al'Taieu would've stayed separate from Vana'diel.

That's what I meant by genocide. I don't remember exactly how many died. Don't know if they even said.

I got the sense that it was a lot more just a small town.

I've decided that after this news I feel like:

But it's just not working out. Unless they do allow a lot of solo content mission-wise, I'll pass.

yeah I agree....I really want to go back, but I know I really should not. After the Abbysia stuff I just felt (to me at least) they ruined it...... I had no drive to play anymore.

I stopped myself from reading the moment I read the first line.

But I'm afraid my subconscious has already read it all and will probably give me a nightmare or two tonight.

Am I the only one who doesn't care about solo content? It's always ridiculously grindy in asian MMOs and if I wanted to play an FF game solo I'll play one of the other FF games in the series. There's quite a lot of them to choose from.

@Mal: Nobody would've even had to have fought Promathia if Tenzen had killed you. That dumbass Nag'molada wouldn't have gotten absorbed and ruined everything.

                                Dear SE,

Stop taunting me with FFXI references in Dissidia an Theatrhythm and get to a single player version of FFXI. The first trilogy arch at least. It's seriously better and more worthwhile than any of the crap you have planned for FFXIII and that vaporware FFvsXIII.
