Well that's that confirmed. They announced the new expansion and showed a girl running through the areas found in the .dat files. Expansion will be out in 2013.

So, the concept is party buffs + elemental magic. It'll have a unique piece of gear like PUPs, a bell.

The buffs for the Geomancer will based around the Geomancer.

They'll be able to setup a field with the effect as well that stays there.

According to the picture, if you're standing north of an enemy, you get a bonus to magic attack, west is a recast bonus, east is a critical magic bonus, and south is accuracy, I think. I'd need to see the slide of it again.

Also, just looking at the Silhouette ... if that's Mystic Knight, I will absolutely rage. All the years I've wanted that class... and I really think it is. Notice how you can see them holding a swords, and seemingly casting magic on it... (Also notice how they don't even mention PS2 for this - looks like they are finally going to drop PS2 support at last)

Honestly it's the only way - the PS2 HDD is at it's limits, so they literally can't put this expansion out for PS2. Maybe we'll see a PS3 version at last to go along with XIV?

Ugh, FML I may have to get this lol >_< damn it. Well, at least I have my permanent discount on XIV.

The Japanese site has Ps2 support but the NA Seekers of Adoulin site doesn't.

Oh for fuck's sake.

They can't handle the 20 jobs they already have in the game and they're going to add more? I don't see this ending well at all. This strikes me as an incredibly bad game design choice.
