I would have preferred going North to the Gigas' homeland, but I'll take the West as well... it feels like there's a lot of room to develop a story there.

The Northern Continent is ruled by the Orcish Empire, actually. And the Mithran Empire is on the Southern. Too bad we never got to see Tenzen & The Yagudo's homeland of the Far East (not to mention it's also the home of the Wyverns & Bahamut).

So many places in Vana'diel that never materialized. I really, really wish they'd revisit Vana'diel in another game to further explore the lore and give the people who never tried XI a taste of the realm.

judging by how incomplete the zones are (notice how many objects lack a back end, even though it would apparently be accessible), I'm going to guess these files are used in cutscenes, and the actual zone files will be delivered with the expansion, as usual.
